Point is that we have had the whole summer to sign one. Do you really think levy et al sat there and thought " fuck it, we'll wait to the last day and then limit options to two players"? No, if the need is there then wheels would have been initial already.

And anyway, Verts is a great option to have a LB cover

Case rested - Move on.

I might be wrong on this one, but I think we have a history of making signings late in the window, and, if I'm not mistaken, more deals are made on deadline day than any other day in the window...

He will be an asset but the last few games I seen him like sulking on the pitch.... so if he is unhappy, then we got to find a solution.

I think he's just a moody bugger. I don't see why he would be unhappy as he's started all the pre-season games and the palace game and then got injured.

Tumbleweeds, crickets chirping come to mind.

I want a deadline day transfer and I'm more than prepared to throw my toys out of the pram if I don't get one.

This is all just soooooo unlike us. I can't believe Daniel isn't even going for a bid for Damiao for old time's sake. It's a window tradition, dammit!

Think about what you wrote fir a minute there ...

Isn't "fir" a tree?

Ozil isn't the game changer that everyone thinks he is, and if he was why would RM want rid? Eriksen and Paulinho have better pace and equal footballing ability. Two for the price of one if the reported fee is to be believed.

Got a feeling siggy will go. Think we may well still pick up a couple of late signings but im more than happy with our dealings over this TW.

No way a big money signing is happening today. We all know Levy takes his time negotiating big players.

Well this is an anticlimax after the goats bleat last night...

I think someone had a theory on last nights bleat. I even offered to donate £50 if anything near that ITK came off.

Was never going to happen.

I was going to say that I'm surprised the penny hasn't dropped yet with you lot that we aren't going to do anything. But I did assume we'd ship out one or two so maybe there's time for one more in. I highly doubt it though. Maybe we ought to have waited in announcing Lamela and Eriksen to create a more positive atmosphere with the fans. Instead it's ending on a downer with the defeat yesterday, Capoue's injury and Bale's although expected still disappointing to watch departure.

At least JJ has said we're looking to sign a left back, so I haven't given up hope of some movement yet.
