So we've signed three 20 million+ quality players and people arent happy?

It could have easily gone the other way, I reckon most chairman would have taken the Bale money and bumped up their bonuses. I remember reading that UTD only spent 20 million when they sold Ronaldo. We have done well!

I simply cannot believe that some people are moaning because we appear to have broken even financially in this window.

The transfer window is all about improving the playing staff at the club, not about the money that has been spent. We have certainly done that, and the club statement questioning Bale's commitment to the forthcoming season confirms what we all suspected and means that selling him was the right decision.

Whingeing about how we should have spent 20, 30 or 50 million more is, frankly, fucking stupid. We should all be pleased that we have had such an amazing transfer window with minimal net spend.....or would you rather that we were saddled with huge debt repayments for the next few years that prevented further squad improvement and made it more difficult to build the new stadium?
That we have improved massively whilst breaking even, thus leaving us with a nice wedge to possibly put towards the stadium is to be admired and celebrated no?

Unless people suddenly think we're pulling another £85m out of our arses for new players each summer without a stadium etc.

Tom Carroll not involved for u21s tonight, so loan deal to QPR is very possible.

lol i used to really really hate deadline day. brb sleeping thinking that veloso is coming, wakes up to nothing, brb sleeping thinking moutinho is coming, wakes up to nothing. difference is this year, even if we get no one today, we are in good hands. if a LB comes, awesome. if a 45m(lol) FW comes? perfect. but for the first time I'm actually gonna relax and enjoy today, long i've waited for this day

would be ridiculous to sell another of our long standing players this window. Change is all well and good but too much too soon and we will have to write of this season

If our business is all done, that means we still have Ade and Benni.
Well. Since the reps are disabled I'll go ahead and say it. I'd be pretty darn pleased if they both stayed. Assuming they aren't just frozen out

Another player like Eriksen you say? Hey, Germany seem to have some talent these days. Let's see if there's a young attacking CM over there we could sign...

Unbearable in here - we seem to have acquired some very spoilt, unrealistic and morinic fans in the past few years.

Our full backs are shit! Yes both sides.

I'm obviously in the minority on here with regards to Walker which is strange as all the guys I go to spurs with who are also season ticket holders agree with me but hey ho.

We need a world class left back in the next few hours!

Come on its Levy time!

Agreed, Walker would be mid/low level PL quality were it not for his physicsl attributes. Really hope we bring someone of quality at left back- i still have a tiny bit of hope for Coentrao

Why on earth does anyone think we'll sign a £45m striker, on top of the £26m one we've just bought when we only play 1 up front.

Or a £45m Attacking midfielder when we've just got a £35m one, an £11m one (who'd have been more if not for 1 year on contract), and signed Holtby 6 months ago and Dembele for £15m 1 year ago?
