Who says they aren't done ? You mean they aren't announced yet. I don't think it is being cynical, as many others have suggested, to postulate that the announcement is being held up in case we don't sign anyone else (highly likely) to try and pacify the fans with a deadline day signing.

But my original point was that we can't compete with the money bags teams in terms of signings, so which of our other rivals have strengthened better than us? You didn't/couldn't answer that so just replied that they're our rivals on the pitch, to which i replied as above.

So in "simply stating that the money bag teams are our rivals... I never mentioned anything else?!" you're completely missing or choosing to ignore my original point.

And if you think we're not competing on spreadsheets as well as/if not more than on the pitch, you're even more naive than I first thought. Those players running around don't grow out of the pitch you know, we've got to get them from somewhere, and that usually involves money.

where am I ignoring the point of your post? Here's what it said (from start to finish may I add)

You made ONE point and that's what I responded too by saying that "Those money bag clubs are our rivals"?! So which bit of the above did I exactly choose to ignore?

Secondly: We are not competing on spreadsheets with other teams... we keep our own club in order, make sure we're sensibly run and live within our means, because that's how we choose to operate, weather other clubs overspend or make profit is none of our concern. We don't get a blue Peter badge for being better run than them, it's how we choose to run our club.

So how exactly is that naive of me???

I predict those deals will be announced very late into the deadline, as a way of trying to distract us from our failure to sign anybody else.
