You know as well as I do that a decent Attacking Midfielder, such as Isco or the several others mentioned over the past weeks, would have provided much needed competition and respite for Eriksen.

I love Eriksen but if he's off his game we're nowhere near as fluid.

Only someone as good as Isco who we only had half a chance because Real Madrid told them they won't play.
And even then Isco decided to stay.

Players of that quality are either at the very top clubs or are looking to go to those top clubs.

Plus the most important reason of all Poch didn't want him.At the end of last season him and Mason in particular were given the chance to make a name for themselves and they both failed miserably . This showed Poch that they were not of the required standard and would never feature in a strong first eleven again so why keep them as they were only blocking the progress of the kids coming up behind them. IMO well rid and good fees too.
