I'm not usually one to be to negative, but to think we are about to spend 30 Mil on a 27 year old rotation option as our last minute "marquee" signing is depressing. What we desperately needed is a technicaly gifted playmaker not another beast. Sissoko would not get into my starting 11 if all are fit and well and for 30 or even 25 Mil that is not exactly great no matter how much the market has been inflated.

On a plus side, it's nice to know we at least tried for Isco.

Honestly, I've watched this guy a lot, absolute best of a player. If Poch taps in and gets his head right, this is a huge signing for us, huge.

Don't make the mistake of being underwhelmed because of the inconsistentcy at Newcastle, it was a mess.

This guy has the ability to pull defences all over the shop. What a signing to round out our midfield options.

We've seriously just upgraded our strength in depth if this goes through.
You're doing a good job- Convince me Pinky, convince me.

In the current market everyone is paying what we call over the odds for players but in reality that is the market now. With the added TV money players fees have been inflated and will stay inflated, we got £13million for Mason an average squad player (one I loved BTW) Yes £30million is a lot but its Monopoly money - it's not coming out of our pocket.

We have all seen how much we miss Dembele when he has been injured or eye gouging, we need a played that will run from the middle and draw players in which frees space for others to be more creative, if Sissko can do that in Dembeles absence then I'm delighted.

In Pooch I Trust. COYS!

What I don't really comprehend is that if Poch really really really wanted MS, why did we leave it so very very very late?

Sissoko was good in the Euros, Poch will make him better, Versatile too. Will try to emulate his idol, Patrick Vieira.

AMR is his main position, but I'm sure he's being brought in with a view to possibly slotting in for Dembele as well. In the event that he doesn't adapt to a CM2 we can drop Dele back and play Sissoko further up.

Im thinking dembele further up field in place of eriksen ... dembele can be intricate when it comes to the 10 men behind the ball teams.

If we've moved one £50k pw salary off the books during this window, that's £10m in savings over the term of Sissoko's contract, in effect making him a £20m player in the eyes of our coffers.

Rate him about as much as Zaha, but I am highly amused at how it's screwed up Evertons plans last minute . Would've been so much more delicious had it been West ham, that would've been worth 30 million.

Oh well Dembele only out for one more game
