Never thought I'd be so relieved to see the ACN on the horizon. Hope Togo win the fucking thing and that whatever tinpot leader they have demands they return home for a protracted orgy that turms into a big skirmish over unpaid bonuses.

They didn't make it, which I think is actually good for us. It makes him more desirable to other suitors, and also removes a distraction for him so keeps him bored out his mind if he's stuck at the club and not playing.

My hope is Monaco revives some interest to try and pickup their league and CL performances. I think they may bite if Levy will be sensible and offer them Ade for even free. His stubbornness for every penny is costing us, and I hope one of the advantages to the committee will come into fruition and the strength in numbers will point this out to him if he doesn't recognize it.

18 months? I had really hoped his contract was up in the summer but you just know he'll be here till the bitter end. FFS.

while I get the feeling Kaboul is not the sharpest knife in the draw and could be easily misled by others..

I agree.....Kaboul has worn the armband in the past for us and seem(ed) vocal when doing it.

But i could see him being the type of guy who Ade/Lennon/other veteran players have the ear of and they say "Younes, these kids are doing 'X'....go have a sit down with the skipper."...and Younes does just that. Doesn't get the squad together and hash it out, doesn't get with the kids and get their concerns....just says "well, my mates that i have been playing with for several years say there is an issue and it is my duty as captain to say something to Poch."

I could see Kaboul's issue being he just isn't bright as opposed to a malcontent.

Lennon i have a feeling is less of a "malcontent" and more of a overpaid, entitled little shit. He came to us and was hot shit. Had some good years. Has been with the club forever and regardless of who is managing always seems to put in a shift. But i think because he has been with the club for years and been a entitled shit for years....he just doesn't know how not to be an entitled shit. Now he is that guy that everyone has met/knows/works with....he walks around like he owns the place, is an ass to virtually everyone...but is riding on the fact that he actually works hard and has for years, now the work isn't as good and people are getting sick of the act.

Ade.....we all know what we get with Ade.

As long as Lloris & Jan are in club, why cant we just put these two as captain & vice captain.
Long term, I want Walker & Kane to take up the mantle - as I really see a big future for both in our squad.

Come Jan, QPR will be in bottom 3. I am sure Harry , if still around will be ok to take up Adebayor & Lennon for reasonable fee or at least on loan. As for as Kaboul - still think he may have sided with senior Ade than Kane. Without knowing what was the fight about, its hard to comment Kaboul's role in it.

Kaboul still gets the benefit of doubt IMO, but he is never a starter nor captain for me.

I don't understand this moody comment. Today when Eriksen scored the winner, he was one of the firsts to run up to him & celebrate.
Vertonghen has a ugly streak in him & an attitude to playing the game - which most of our players clearly lack.
If harvested rightly, he can be good leader. If he is in squad, he is in XI for me. If he is in XI, I would rather have him as captain or vice captain.

Verts actually seems like a leader. He's mailed it in at times and pissed us off becasuse of poor play and acting like a tit trying to get out(like last year with dim) but he does have leadership qualities in him. He should be vice captain, IMO. If we can get Kaboul and Ade out, Lloris should be promoted to captain while Verts and Walker or maybe Eriksen get promoted to vice.

That's an excellent point in truth. That, Kane's continued form, and the fact the conceded goal was not caused by Kaboul's replacement very much do help to further Poch's case.

This is probably when we find out there was an extra year option in the original contract and we're stuck with him until Summer 2016.

Why they would refuse a move to QPR I don't understand, aside from high likelihood of relegation. They could likely come at least close to their wages at Spurs, if not meet them; they would be able to play more as Poch looks to be pushing them to the periphery; and most important of all (especially to Lennon): they would get to remain in London.

So I do hope they'll reconsider in January. Really, really hope in our desperation Levy will be willing to depart with Ade for a wicked low fee, if any, as I wouldn't be surprised if Monaco renewed interest given their decay in the league and if he could be available for nothing.
