About it being Adebayor, I'm still doubtful POTL is referencing Ade. When I think of long drawn out affairs and you must remember POTL is COYS only, I think of Leandro which on COYS has become a running joke. The Adebayor deal pales in comparison to Leandro for being drawn out.

I'm not going to lie to you mate, I fail to say how ANYONE can make that comment out to be anything other than Ade.

Because I've spent more time on COYS than SC and Leandro is the big drawn out deal over there. There have been multiple 100 page threads about getting him, Adebayor just doesn't even compare. POTL referenced a long drawn out process, any COYSer will immediately think Leandro if you said that. The EDA could be anything, POTL is a bugger at times with his little cryptics.

Joe Cole was the only itk I've ever had. Even his brother and dad thought he was signing for us but Liverpool came in the last minute and matched our wages but offered a 6mil signing on fee.

If I recall it properly, it was a move from Liverpool to us that Roger got wound up on. Might have been last Summer or the January before after Cole fell out of favor at 'pool.
