I am with you. Moutinho is too expensive for £20-25m but Willian is okay for £20m? I somehow doubt Levy will go with that.

I don't know that he would, but even still, Levy isn't crushing his record transfer fee for a winger like Willian. He's barely willing to do it for Brazil's no. 9

I know I agree with that, Id be surprised if the fee is as high as 20mil - well maybe after umpteen add-ons perhaps but not all upfront.

I'm sure that this is an example of internet rumours - whose arse did 20 million quid get pulled from?!
Just be excited about signings (hopefully) about to be made, let the club worry about the figures. Levy normally sees us right, in respect of money spent.

I wholeheartedly agree. He's not worth £20m unless one of Real, Barcelona, City, Chelsea, PSG, or United decide he is. Even then he'd be a falsely rated £20m player.

Shakhtar's coach claimed they rejected a £26M bid from Chelsea earlier this summer.

I think we're getting him for significantly less. Think about how much Levy gnashes his teeth over big transfers there is no way that this would have come together this quickly if it was 20 million. There have been tons of talk about when Willian's contract ends and never really a satisfactory answer. My guess is his contract is up soon and we got him for around 10-15 million.

If its £20 then there is a slither as DL may see some profit a few years down the line.

And im not necessarily knocking his methods, we have steadily improved year on year and if continues then we will see some good football

True just think how much of a flop Modric has been coming from a worse league in Croatia.

There is a small difference here. Modric was already an established star, and when we bought him he was already an established national for Croatia. He also had a better goalscoring record in Croatia than what Willian has in Ukraine.

Willian has a grand total of 2 appearances for Brazil, a team in which almost anyone with a Brazilian passport is allowed to try out for. If he was worth £20 million I'd expect him to get a couple more matches, really.

I'm not saying we shouldn't buy him, I'm just saying we'd be mad to spend 20 million on him.
