BUT……….There is always the possibility that one or two of the SC hive scapegoats will thrive under him. It’d be foolish to assume otherwise. As to who those might be, we’ll that’s something that we have no idea about and the kind of pointless guessing game that would be far better off being had, if you must, in his thread

Thought this was the ITK thread not yet another "I'll slag off Harry Winks for a few cheap ratings" thread.

If Ange thinks he can improve some of the MANY big money players who haven't worked in the ultra defensive formations we've used since 2018/19 then I'm all for him trying. He'll know soon enough who can work in his system and who can't.

I'd guess 500m would be an exaggeration.

I don't think there's any doubt he's working after seeing him in the lounge with levy. I think anyone of that level would be and will just not put his name to any paper work yet.

It’s quite possible Munn exaggerated. It’s quite normal for people to exaggerate to make a point, the point would have been Luis Enrique was not realistic with his requirements on budget.

We all hear different things and others on here are far more connected than I am. However, I'm still told we are interested in Maddison and we are looking to push our interest forward this week. Maddison is very keen on coming but we are too far apart of our valuations as it stands. Maddison won't play a year in the championship so it might be one that happens later in the window if we can't agree a fee sooner.

Re a CB, the media reports seems pretty on the money with who is on the list. It's a very encouraging list and although I personally want Tapsoba, I would be happy with any of them.

In terms of who we are trying to sell and the players we are trying to buy, it's certainly very encouraging, we just need to make it happen.
