I just can’t see how anyone can look at Dier and Sanchez and believe they are capable of being coached into Ange’s system. They are too ponderous on the ball - if they even get it under control in the first place which is no means certain, especially with Sanchez.

So I really can’t believe that Ange has seen something in either of them and the reference must be to others (I can make a case for most of the others, from a technical perspective and being coached to move the ball quicker).

Or is that just wishful thinking ?

More from Prof (different source):

and talks ongoing with celtic for two players. right now one possible to probable. the other one unlikely to possible. could change if player nags. a wants both means were pushing. early doors s has impressed. is clear what he wants and how doers can make it happen
Couple of very affordable players in that Celtic squad that, while they may not be the final options for their respective positions in a season or two, would allow us to quickly get playing Ange's way and help develop the squad as a whole.

Won't spam with guesses, but I'm encouraged by it if it's the obvious choices.

We want 3 new defenders, so 3 have to leave minimum. Sanchez has already said he wants to go. But Eric wants his testimonial, so strap in🙂

Ange bullish he can coach up some of our youngsters and a few of our under performers which is music to the boss’s ears. Lol
Let's be honest - this means nothing. No manager is going to come in and immediately say there are some players in the squad he can do nothing about. Or at the very least, not someone of Ange's stature.

As has been said, that applies to pretty much the entire team except Kane and Bentancur.

Not for me Ndombele is just wrong for the prem. to be honest I don’t care what Ange thinks he can do They all need to go. We need a new squad mentality and spirit and they are all toxic in one form or another.

I think that’s true but equally especially given how hard we find it to ship out players - we can’t change everyone in one window. Hence why there will be some degree of needing to work with some players that we already have.

I mean we can’t keep them all so some have to go, otherwise we have a squad that makes Chelsea look like they’re operating on a skeleton squad!

Not to mention there are a number of players that should be doing much better than they are like Richarlison, Ndombele etc

Prof on COYS:

Not only working on gk and mid. Initial list of cb targets cut down to those approved by Ange. Two approaches made so far - one young and promising, the other a little older and more experienced. If they seem doable we’ll negotiate. If not we’ll move on. Would like 3 new defenders for the squad - number depends on outgoings. Ange bullish he can coach up some of our youngsters and a few of our under performers which is music to the boss’s ears. Lol

I just read that Laporte isn't interested in joining us. It does align with the info here as I'd imagine he would be profiled as a very experienced defender. It also aligns with the info that we aren't lingering on any unlikely targets.
