OK good news! The daily thread will start getting updated much more often now as the ITK seems to have begun flowing a tad more freely.

Those of you with access to COYS, FTL etc can help keep it so by posting any ITK on here, see the first post in the ITK Forum for details on how to do this.

I hear that when Thierry Henry was signed to play at Arsenal again they said, "You'll feel right at home here, everything's just as you left it."

Including the trophy cabinet.

Only one snippet of ITK to bring you this morning, which came from POTL

POTL said:
When: 08/01/11
Where: COYS
I absolutely 100% deny this. I stake my full reputation on it. Am sure this was passed on to you in good faith but this is utter nonsense. I will leave COYS if the lad goes to Malaga, no such offer.
Full reputation?

In other news, After much speculation that he was going to leave United, Wayne Rooney kissed his badge during yesterday's Manchester derby to show his loyalty to the club.

A bit like when he kisses his wife before he goes to see a prostitute.

I know some of you liked the occasional story I write during the TW and i've had a few PM's asking when they'll be returning. The answer is that i'm working on one right now and it'll be up soon.

Meanwhile here's a taster CLICK HERE Chapter one will be called 'The first casualty of ITK is the truth'

The Papers today:

The Metro say that Tottenham are believed to be planning a move for defender James Collins, with Aston Villa ready to listen to offers in excess of £3m for the 28-year-old.

Meanwhile, Fergie, Mancini, Kenny and Harry sitting in a pub. Kenny goes up and buys the first round of drinks. Mancini the second and Harry the third. Fergie buys the next but Mancini complains "Where's mine?!" Fergie replies "Sorry pal, this is the fourth round and you're not in it".

WE RELY ON YOU TO DONATE AND HELP KEEP SC RUNNING!
PLEASE PUSH THE BUTTON AND MAKE OUR DAY!
EVERY LITTLE HELPS!

Nice, ahem, round up A&C.

I don't want Collins, even as backup.

its probably a matter of having to now, whereas before Ledley got injured I really didn't think we needed a new CB

we dont wanna slip from 3rd spot so I dont think H has a choice now

Are you ITK? I see you post info but it doesnt go in the RO and I dont know whether its your opinion or ITK.
I actually posted update 8 in SC ITK.
I heard about Samba from Summer.

Why Samba? He a good defender and can score too.
Opinion: We will sign a Striker before Man City game. Who? Dunno!

Ackie has been known to provide some ITK in the past. He had a signature during the last window which suggested Samba was one of 4 or 5 players we would be signings. I think he got a couple right, couple wrong, Samba being one.

Not sure who I'd prefer. Ball playing pacey Cahill, or The Beast Samba, who is a monster in the air and would offer us something no other CB of ours does - goals.

I think we will be missing a trick if we don't sign a striker in time for Citeh, as they will be weakened with no Kompany or Toures, and we need to take advantage as a win blows the title race wide open. I'd love to see Leandro, but would be happy with any striker as long as they will challenge for a starting spot.

Is that an ITK-based opinion?

There were quite a few ITKs commenting early on that people thinking we weren't looking at strikers were mad - I guess we all know we're considering, and hopefully before City game as well. But if you know something more than that do let us know

Thanks. I think we all prefer Cahill but he may be Chelsea or Man U bound.
Then it leaves us with Samba.
I personally think that when Harry mentions players such as Ba and Samba that we are currently working on those deals and he's quite confident we MAY get them. However, Ryantegan will know this better imo ;-)

I heard names like Remy...Now he has said BA has a released clause and is PL proven.

It's got to be Cahill for me. Scores a few as well, doesn't he?

Though by the sign of things he's up for the money, reckon he'll be confirmed for Chelsea. Mind you, better chance of playing time there as well.

As we're targetting players like Samba and Cahill already having Dawson and Kaboul, with Caulker having more than proven himself with Swansea this year (I'm excluding Bassong as I think it's common knowledge he's not considered a long-term solution) I don't think we expect King/Gallas to play many games next season. With one of them in I wouldn't even think Gallas will be here next year.

A shame about King's injury. Was doing ever so well - as always..

Cahill isnt going to Chelsea or Man utd at the moment. Very upset with Chelsea over the personal terms according to his agent.
Harry wants him now but Daniel not so sure. We could get him cheaper in the summer and Daniel is more keen on this for a few reasons.
He is happy to play at Bolton and come in the summer to us too.

Hey JJ... Do you think we can afford his wage demand?
Any news your side?

Certainly makes sense for someone that can fill at least two of the three AM positions as well (in the case of Remy). I haven't even seen a single second of Remy, but it is quite unusual for someone to be able to be both a proper target man and a winger. Anelka had a decent go at it. Henry. But it's a rare ability so question whether he can be top notch in both position.

As for BA, he's off with Senegal, isn't he? Also heard something about his knees. But for the price might be worth a gamble. I'd stay put if I was him, though, should get 1-2 top seasons before he start looking for new pastures.

And LD?
I haven't seen him play, but we seem to all want him.

I have to be careful what i say as i got into trouble last time for saying i know things and not posting them but that isn't going to change!!
Lots of posturing at board and manager level atm about desired incomings as always at this time of the year!
We could afford Cahill and Samba isnt really what we want just need people to agree....

Lots of stuff going on as per usual.

I will say that to whoever is saying about not seeing Remy that they are playing tomorrow night on the TV i believe against Lille ...... watch it very carefully....

If Cahill don't sign for the chavs today then we have gotto be back in the game. 7m dont seem like much when the manager identifies the one he wants

Remy and sow in one game

Remy is better hands down
