Not that fussed by negredo. AVB claimed a strikers only job in his system is to score goals (maybe not in those exact words) and negredo isn't the most clinical. Would think if Arsenal are seriously after David Villa it would make for the best deadline day after if we snatched him from under their noses.

Did we get any ITK about Villa in the end? It was interesting that AVB was asked about him after the game last night and said "No, it's complicated" which kind of suggested that we did inquire about him. I don't for a second think we'll pull off a shock and sign him, it's just interesting, that it appears that we were looking at him, especially when you consider that AVB keeps saying that we won't sign a striker.
Sevilla have a critical Copa Del Rey match this evening. There is no way Negredo will play if he is being sold abroad. My guess is most here will speculate about him, but Levy has not shown he is willing to spend in the January window recently.
This season is reminding me of a carbon copy of 2010-2011. True to form, Gary Hooper will be this year's Charlie Adam.

Style of play. From what I've seen he's a decent target man but not very technical. But then again I don't watch a lot of Lyon when I watch Ligue 1. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
Remember him having a bit of pace though.

I haven't really seen much of him. I remember his name popping up a few years ago, as the next sensation! But i guess he fizzled out.

Lopez much better than Gomis. He's a little tank, sort of Tevez-lite.
