this is all starting to become a joke another opportunity to move forward and cement our place in the top four and we are going to stand still again... we cant always rely on bale top pull us out of trouble. and if we don't finish in the top four there is no chance of him being here next season two strikers is NOT enough to sustain a challenge on the top four..i hope im wrong. we just look flat at the moment no inspiration or want for it...I wish I could just look away

No I know, Ive been a big defender of DL over the years, but its so glaringly obvious what our problem is going to be for the run in, and again we reach the final day without it being addressed. Defoe's injured, Ade off form and not even here at the moment, Dempsey not a real striker as such and then after that we turn to kids.

yep, you do raise a fair point, but we have a budget for a reason, and if the right striker isnt available for what we can afford (or are willing to pay) then we just have to accept that. We're quite a small club when you look at turnover, and we cant afford to take £15m punts on people that may fail, and have no sell on value as back up. Its my very humble opinion of course! :)

Who is Gianluca di Marzio? Apparently saying Yellow is close to joining Spurs and we've beaten off Inter and Juve.

Yes, this is from Twitter. But be good to know how credible GDM is.
DL's wrist must be knackered after that.

Funny how Berbatov was happy to go work with him again? Maybe Hudd is a better player then berbs?
Its how players are treated on a personal level though.

Berba was the star, Jol had his nose right up his arse, but then treated many more that weren't so high profile without the professionalism required,.

not sure where you plucked that line from, but maybe Berbatov and Jol got on well and Jol and Hudd didnt.
Nothing to do with the quality of players, just personality

The post was implying that none of the players wanted jol and what we fans perceived jol as was very different to what he actually is!

Yes, ITK on him has been rife. It's all in the RO and Ticker, in invisible ink. Scurry hence OtterKing and seek these posts out!

Excellent. And to think people laughed at me for carrying around my 'Private Eye's Super Special Invisible Ink Investigators Kit'.

Ha, the fools!

Hudd won't go to Fulham because of the manager.

No other reason. I've posted quite a few times on Mr Jol, it's all true and very different from the fans and public perception.

Well it would have helped me considerable yesterday when I asked the very question of whether he and Jol got along. But you wait a day and jam it in to random page in the thread on the day when it will be at peak and expect me to find it? Well I did, because I have no friends, so I win....wait :( Perhaps you have me on ignore, like any sane person should.

-13:48 - DAMIAO, new update. Tottenham have offered 20 million, Internacional will decide now whether to accept. Spurs have until midnight to close the deal, we will see if they succeed in that time.

13.39 – DAMIAO è vicino al Tottenham, oggi si può chiudere. L’attaccante brasiliano arriva dall’Internacional, era stato seguito da molti club italiani, come Inter e Napoli. -

DAMIAO is close to Tottenham , today it will be finished. The Brazilian striker, who will arrive from Internacional, was followed by many Italian clubs such as Inter and Napoli.

I've been saying all along that they will really want to sell him this month, they know full well his value will notably drop after this window. Problem is that Levy knows this too, so i can't see a deal being done.
That danger with that is that other clubs, notably ones in Italy, will then sign him if they're not forced to stump up £20m. We'll have zero chance of doing a deal when he's at his cheapest. DL must realise that. He must do or he's a bit simple.
