Any bid we do make for LD will be nowhere near their asking price that's for sure
Levy will have to work some magic on this one and I certainly won't be holding my breath

The early rumours today were that they got in contact with us, so maybe they finally cracked and Levy has won.

Greyfox has posted in the RO, nothing earth shattering but backing up what else has been heard

Hudd won't go to Fulham because of the manager.

No other reason. I've posted quite a few times on Mr Jol, it's all true and very different from the fans and public perception.

I was thinking that - people assume that cuddly Jol and Redknapp are popular with players because they're presented that way to us. Behind the scenes we know Redknapp is utterly ruthless - yet people still talk about him having favourites.

This is a shame, if true, because Fulham would be perfect for Huddlestone and Jol always spoke highly of him.

Although, thinking back, I do remember Jol's treatment of Huddlestone was not exactly great. He'd bring him in, he'd have a couple of great games then a mediocre/poor game and he'd be dropped for a while. At the time I compared it to Arsenal, how Wenger will show faith in a youngster and let them get over the 'hump', let them get used to being in the first team. Redknapp did that, essentially declared that Huddlestone would be a starting midfielder and he blossomed. One year later he was captain (and putting in a captain's performance) in some our greatest/toughest games of recent memory.

I'd tentatively suggest that Sigurdsson is in a similar position. I get the feeling that if we could play him week in week out, he'd come on tremendously.

The new ITK hopefully explains why Townsend dropped out at QPR, IF Bentley and JJ end up there obviously one of them would be a loan and the other perm, leaving no room for Townsend as 2 on loan from same club not allowed. *Wishful Thinking*

Lads don't get excited, how many times have we been here before? Deadline day and suddenly we're willing to drop £15m+, break our transfer record and strengthen where we need to.

It's like going 1 up at Old Trafford and think we are going to win or something daft like that.

On a completely seperate note - can't wait for them to get this David Garrido off SSN. Most irritating, cheesy bloke ever.

This is "the details"

Tottenham have made a deadline day attempt to sign Leandro Damiao with a bid worth £16 million for the Brazilian striker.

More to follow...

Tottenham have made a last-ditch £16 million bid to sign Leandro Damiao! @gstobart has the details:bit.ly/XaczUy #THFC

*sigh* So that's their big update?

Same story as the other windows, below their valuation. However, in other windows they had no need to sell as their president said. We shall see if the tales about them needing to sell are true, or we will probably see another quote from Giovanni saying we didn't offer enough.

But this season that is exactly what we did do!!! So hey... maybe this is the season were we do the opposite to the norm?!
