Shiny, Rodders and J-rod

Just 2 CBs (maybe LB as well tbf as I think and Rose will be shown the door) to go and that would do a treat for this season.
If we sign 2 more CBs+JRod and Morgan, that'll be 6 summer signings, one less than last summer, but we'll see no journos/ex-players having a go at us for it. Interesting how signing homegrown/British players makes such a difference to people's opinions...

unbelievable, it'll be mavis the cleaner up front and jonno the kit man on the wing at this rate.
Michael Bridge (if anyone knows who that is.. Sky reporter and author of the Spurs annuals) replied to Ben Smith from the BBC saying it'll be Sammy Lee player/asst manager soon.

Ooh now Gards tweet to me is getting posted in here #famous.

All the players we signed last year had 0 prem game experience. None. I think this got highlighted as a big mistake - hence signings so far are prem exp and uk based.

Signings may not be gloriously expensive or big names but you need glue to stick the glitter to a ball.
Poch is making a team out of our names.

Vlad's off apparently.

We need 2 Centre-Backs at least now. If we trust Kaboul's fitness levels are fine now, we only need 2 but I fear we will only get 1.
I really don't see the virtue in selling Chiriches at this stage - we are actively flogging Dawson and as much as I like Kaboul, you can't rely on him for a season and especially when we are in Europe.

As we can see with other clubs, good centre backs are at a premium so why the fuck sell a promising, cultured defender in Chiriches who has had a year to bed in only to put ourselves in a position where we either rely on fucking Dawson or bring in the likes of Shawcross for a likely inflated fee?!

Makes.No.Sense.

in regards to Jay, how does an injured player complete a medical? (which to my understanding is necessary for insurance purposes, and thus a requirement for a transfer to go through?)

Blimey, I come home and all hell breaks loose - Schneiderlin and Rodriguez?!

I do hope the collective fee is somewhere around £30million but both should be valuable assets in our squad and both are at very good ages to continue to develop under Poch's guidance.

Sandro surely on his bike though but then we kinda knew that didn't we?!
£30m you reckon? Wow, that much for Schniederlin and a player who's just done his cruciate?

It can be done

Utd signed Van Nistelrooy when he was out with a fucked knee, Lazio signed Gazza etc

I wonder if there are any of our players going back the other way?

They have previous interest in Townsend and Dembele played under Koeman before at AZ.

I believe the medical would be done, and a waiver of sorts would be signed that we understand that the ACL/knee is not 100% but that the rest of the medical checked out. We would take the risk on the knee coming good (which isn't that risky anymore..my how the times have changed w/ ACL injuries), Southampton would take none.

I think they base it on long term injury prospects rather than a current injury. So they will look at how far along his progress is and how long he is likely to be out and how likely it is for a full recovery

ACL injury science is basically lightyears ahead of where it was 10+ years ago too.
