From piecing together the snippets I'd guess we actually have the deal done with Madrid and paperwork is sent to FA. We are now - perhaps cheekily - trying to get VDV to agree terms, which if we can then the deal will be processed, if not then it gets cancelled/withdrawn/whatever.

I have no idea of the legal or ethical implications of that status and, of course, have made it all up. But it might fit the facts.

If it's done, then it's a huge deal as he can't play CM in a 4-4-2.

However, he's perfect as the ACM in a 4-2-3-1 (or variant of).

Anybody who is ITK is probably involved in whatever could be happening. I would question anything that came from an ITK right now. Unless it was BBLG yelling like a little girl "oh my God, I saw him and he's so cute".
