People are moaning that we couldn't tie up Fabiano in however many weeks people are trying to say we were negotiating for him.

To turnaround a transfer in almost two hours is phenomenal work. Let's hope it gets sanctioned. 4pm this opportunity came about. 4pm.

Amazing that you're moaning. Absolutely amazing.

Sours fans always seem happier when they can moan about something. What a very boring way to live.

Exactly that! Bores the shit out of me that, COYS

lol at the stoke 17.59 bit. Mind you, if SSN are right for once.not embellishing an incredibly undermining story for dramatic effect and if the FA remarkably only have one fax machine...you never know.

I think im one of the least moaniest fans mate. Im merely saying that we do in fucking general tend to act late.

I mean he's so intent on getting top dollar on wanky players like Hutton and Keane, that we havent been able to sell them!

I would have said round about 18m for VdV would have been a fair price, yet we were nowhere near a deal. Then we got offered him.

I dont get what Levy has done so great here? Typing up a fax to send in 2 hours? And potentially fucking that up too?

If were all in agreement that they offered him to us, what the hell did Levy do so great? Agree to it??! Eek

And just for the record I think Levy is the best chairman we've ever had, i just disagree on his last minute tendancies, im not talkin about this deal, im talking IN GENERAL!

I agree with that. Its an incredible deal if we pull it off. I am absolutely thrilled that we are even in this position - the chance of signing a player of that pedigree for that sort of the money.

Sure I will be naturally dissappointed if we dont tie it up but still will recognise a sensational effort made by Levy and co.

Is the deadline just applicable to England or do other associations In Europe also have an earlier deadline. If so, and the English FA are the only ones to have a shorter window, then Levy and half of LSE/Cambridge and Oxford will be down Wembley way with their legal volumes tomorrow morning.

Each association has the same amount of transfer window time to use as they like.....

that's why some have differing deadlines....

Sorry of this link was posted earlier, but I have not been able to get into the site too frequently - can anyone translate this

Rafael Van der Vaart will play at Tottenham Hotspur. The Real Madrid and the England team have reached an agreement in the last hours and the Dutchman entrocampista march to the Premier after two years at the Bernabeu. It is speculated that the transfer has been closed for more than 10 million euros. Real Madrid sought to extend the deadline for international transactions, which has made possible the progress of Van der Vaart to English football. Bayern, who thought the Dutchman to fill the gap left by the injured Robben ruled out surgery a day ago. Harry Redknapp, Tottenham, said he was hoping the Premier confirm the hiring of the Dutchman. The technician said "I think it was going to go to Bayern for almost 22 million. But today I did know that Rafa could sign for 10 million and that money we were interested," he said. The two clubs in the air, so far, have not made the transfer official, as the documentation of the Dutchman has not arrived in time and could thwart the signing of Van der Vaart for the Spurs.

So are we only waiting for VDV's transfer or did we manage to sneak in Diarra as well?

Thats good news. I dont think spurs are that amateur enough to let this fall through now.

Van Der Vaart will be a spurs player :-D
