I'm usually full of quips and absolutely shite jokes but not this time.

My father in law who was a lifetime Spurs fan and ST holder died in hospital a little over 2 weeks ago. Heart problems as well as other complications. His funeral was this past Friday.

I will certainly forward a contribution.

*Edit - done!!

Makes me proud to be part of a community that, on the whole have a very caring disposition.
You haven’t been to the Eric Dier thread…

More chance of Oscar Pistorius catching athletes foot, then seeing a shred of care in that deep, dark, armpit of a thread.

If it's still possible to then I will donate on 20th August. I'll get my redundancy money then.

Got no money left from last payday, due to eldest son's and wife's birthdays, and also having to pay vet fees to have one of our cats cremated (farewell Rafael van der Caart).

Erm..er..That's just people's opinions based on frustrations on the back of poor performances.

Can't say I've been in the thread for a while, but he's in the public eye and gets paid handsomely, bound to catch some flak.

Nope, I'll stick with my original thoughts, on the whole SC are a caring bunch.

Up until recently I worked for the British Heart Foundation and I know first hand what an amazing job they do in fighting heart and circulatory diseases, as well as supporting those who have lost loved ones to CVD. It's fantastic to see SC supporting the BHF, I can tell you all that every donation really does help.

The odds are that pretty much everyone on this site has some experience with CVD in one way or another, whether it's a older relative with vascular dementia, a parent who has had a stroke, or a friend with diabetes; all these things are tied to the cardio-vascular system.

As Spurs fans we have all become far too familiar with the sudden impact of CVD in recent years, but the incidents involving Fabrice Muamba, David Ginola and Christian Eriksen are the evidence that the BHF funded National Defib Network are causes worth supporting. Unfortunately, the tragic deaths of Ugo Ehiogu and Justin Edinburgh are the evidence that there is still a way to go before we can prevent even more deaths from CVD.

Donation made, great cause and excellent idea form SC setting up donations in this way as they did for Cancer Research last year.

My daughter has been a type 1 diabetic since she was 1, spent the week before Christmas in A&E and the ward so Christmas is spoilt for me forever.

Donated.

Edit: Thanks for the love everyone, it's a proper **** of a disease especially for a small child to have to go through.

like another poster said it’s gets better. My daughter was diagnosed at 9 which was very tough but kids are so resilient.

my daughter is 30 next birthday and thankfully living and healthy and full life.
