I know he's old news but Asamoah Gyan is still about, always thought he would be a decent player for us, wouldn't cost the earth and knows where the net is.
No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No and NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Did you not watch the guy at Sunderland?

Ahh hes interested in the pay day rather than the quality of football.

Thought he started o.k for them but then realized he was living in a shithole and playing for a shit team, but he's always looked very good for Ghana.

Pretty elaborate hoax - web site is in 3 languages, high spec IT and obviously run by a PR company. There are 15,000 + tweets and 85,000 + followers on the twitter account showing its been run for some time.

If you were a Swdish footballer playing in Turkey, wouldn't you want a PR company to run things for you to keep in touch with your fans in Turkey, Sweden and even UK (where he was fairly popular). Good chance of being legit. imo

I think this reads as confirmation from Galatasary that Sneijder has signed. Will the doubters of my postrs care to read.

Sooo, if i've read the past few pages correctly...We've signed Diame, likely to bring in Holtby now as well as a new striker, we were offered Snijder, Sandro will be back in October, Elmander can't talk very good english and we are still trying to convince Llorente that he should come to us.
Correct?

I just hope we tie up Holtby now and would love a star signing (ie one of moutinho, willian, damiao, llorente) but as we are all starting to accept that these are unlikely to happen I would take M'Villa, sissoko or Diame. although its clear a forward is where we are lacking

am I right in saying that these are the following positions we are looking to strengthen and next to them the players that we are linked/trying for....

Def Mid...........M'Villa, Sissoko, Diame
Attack Mid, Winger,playmaker......Moutinho, Willian, Belhander, Zaha, Holtby (now)
Forward....... Damiao, Llorente, (now is that the only forwards we have been seriously linked too? p.s im not including K.Jones here!!!)

am i missing anyone?

Agents calls clubs and media and offers their players...we were offered Sneidjer!
Liverpool is on that and Alonso wants to return to Anfield...

Can someone please convince Alonso that Spurs is a better option? Would fit perfect IMO.

Def Mid - Yes
Attack Mid - Linked to, but looks like bringing in Holtby is seen as odds on favourite in recent days
Forward - Yes, but other unnamed forwards < £10m also on ITK

Just had a look on espn statistics for damiao and llorente... Both are quality. Llorente's not as prolific so far this season, but watching us play today, we would be awesome with either. Ade just doesn't play that way, he drifts around and gets involved in interplay, but we need a finisher like ld or llorente to make the most of lennon and bale's crossing and chips into the box. Really hoping we can win llorente over.

looking at the Def Mid options to buy and a break down of the players we have been linked too and their reported value/ wages over the estimated length of contract.....

M'villa 5-8 mill 40-60k per week (prob a deal around 4 years or so) the adds up to being a deal worth as high as 20 mill including wages over 4 years at 60k per week and a transfer fee of 8 mil. total = 20mil approx

Sissoko is free in the summer so fee about 2 mil (total guess work but as a rough guide) wages similar to above...40-60k and prob signing contract for 4 years.... total = 14mil

Diame fee = 3.5, wages = 40-60k, contract length = 4 years total cost = 15.5mi

obviously all guess work and not including signing on fees and agent fees.

I would still opt for M'vila due to age and potential.

We stand no chance with Llorente.
If we make the CL... Javier Hernandez would be my pick... The boy is too good to sit on the bench.

He is like Defoe but he is a miles better finisher.
Defoe: 10 goals from 89 shots
Hernandez: 8 goals from 30 shots.

I rate 'lil Pea' highly too.

However, he's not really the forward we need.

He's absolute class though.
