I hope we sell him. If we got our money back on him it could be put towards a left back or centre back where we need replacements. I suspect he will be the first out the door as he has resale value. Although it will be abroad and not to Chelsea.

His attitude has been pretty awful, but I'm pretty much willing to give everyone a clean slate once Sherwood is gone. And I would really rather not sell anyone to Chelsea.

You do realise those players can't leave without Levy letting them?

As a fan himself i'm pretty sure he realise all them bar Ade are the future of the club. So I doubt he will just sell them due to a bit of disillusionment. Not unless the new manager doesn't rate them.

Of course he won't, but if we get a nice big offer on top of the disillusionment then he will, whether they're the future of the club or not.

As I said, after Bale, Modric and VDV I'm kind of numb to it now anyway. I'd be gutted to lose Lloris, but I wouldn't blame him for going and despite being a top class keeper, I don't think he is as irreplaceable as Bale or Modric.

If Verts heart is not in it there's no point him being here, as his performances this season have been majorly affected.

Sandro or Eriksen would give me the hump. Not because Sandro is a better player than Lloris or Verts, but because I think he is integral to the spine of the team and mostly because it represents the final stage of breaking up our great team of a few years ago. And if we sell Eriksen, who is clearly our best player, then I give up (although it wouldn't exactly surprise me).

Whilst he's not really recaptured his pre injury form I think Kaboul has gradually improved even if it's been difficult to measure in such a struggling defence this season. I wouldn't be unhappy keeping him around another year to see if he can recover the level he once was and also I get the feeling he's a strong character who gets on well within the team. Maybe the answer is to add two versatile defenders like say Micah Richards (RB/CB) and Samuel Umtiti (CB/LB) to give us more strength, flexibility and depth

I'll go with this, not trying to hand out the excuses here but it's not hard to see why these players aren't motivated at the moment.

I agree regarding not selling to Chelsea and I suspect levy does too.

It's not just his attitude that's questionable but his ability too. I suspect he'd be nowhere near the brazil squad if they had a different coach.

Selling Paulinho will be a mistake, I might be the only one but I can see the potential from his time with us (and before). In my opinion If we have him for another season under a real manager with real tactics that suit his game he will show consistently why he was so highly sought.

Sherwood and the decision to appoint him has done so much damage to this football club. Get him out Tuesday morning and a new man in by the end of the week.

Looked great in a middle 3 under AVB. He's probably never played 4-4-2 in his life.

Yeah, I don't see a lot there either. He seems to have a lot of the negative traits of Brazilians (laziness, drifting through games etc) but without the good bits. His passing is distinctly average and his first touch is awful for a Brazilian international. And for a supposed goal scoring midfielder, he can't shoot for shit.

Yes he has a knack of taking up good positions in the box, but if that's all he's going to contribute then he needs to score a lot of goals to justify it.

If Chelsea are willing to pay us £30million for him then we really need to consider why that is. They guy clearly has talent, we just need someone to get the best out of him.

I am still curious to know if there was any truth in the reports that we put in a deadline day bid for Florian Thauvin, and if we did will we be going back in for him.

Regarding the goat info, I just hope we get a new manager in ASAP. Having weeks of not knowing who will be in charge next season will just add to the unrest. I really hope its FDB.

Again. We were asked not to name him. So i'm afraid the answer is no, it isn't possible.

Quite depressing but not surprising news about players wanting out. I've resigned myself to Verts, Lloris and Ade going really. If Sandro or Eriksen leaves as well though I'm going to be seriously pissed off.

I don't agree with those that say that FDB must be made manager on the strength of convincing Verts to stay. At every successful club (bar those that shit money) the manager is the most important person at the club, not the CH. We should appoint the best manager we can and if Verts still wants out, then fuck him.

Totally agree.

I think Vertonghen's attitude, if all this is true, is frigging terrible. This is the sort of player, mentality wise, we need shot of.

I'll emphasis again if true. But I think it is true, given his body language, effort levels, everything. Can not get that image of him in the tunnel at Anfield out of my head either. Looked like he didn't give two shits really. If someone really respected the Club they wouldn't be exuding those signs no matter who the manager is.

One thing i don't understand, if all these players are fed up and want to leave because of Sherwood surely they know they only have 1 more game playing for the cretin so with him leaving they would be happy and content again?

I think the appointment in the first place has created problems for us, it doesn't exactly sit well along side our stated ambitions and the general selling of the Champions League dream.

What a hot fucking mess we've turned into.

If Levy and Sherwood aren't talking at the moment then that questions the validity of the claims of them having this special relationship that everyone was talking about.

Not that this is the thread for it, but at the time I said this is Tottenham Hotspur and not the Dog & Duck and that Levy has no business appointing a novice to the job. That got roundly poo-poo'd by the site 'experts' citing Pep etc etc. Those same people are now amongst some of the more vocal Sherwood haters. Fucking peasants.
