I've just had a thought. Pochettino to us and Tuchel to Southampton. Then next season Tuchel to us. You wouldn't write it off as not happening!

I certainly wouldn't write the majority of that scenario off.
There is NO chance we are interested in Tuchel but I would say that a club like Southampton would definitely be interested in a manager like Tuchel....................meaning their manager might well be leaving.

A different camera angle showed her hand in his pants...

I wondered why he was standing to attention long before they played God Save the Queen, that explains it :D

Actually it was his wife sitting next to him I believe, which is good to see as she supposedly has been very ill for quite a while

Levy saying about style of football in his address yesterday is the only thing making me think he's not in Naples right now.

What worries me is that AVB was heralded by many (including Levy) as playing this great, attacking, attractive football, but in reality it was anything but. So I don't trust Levy's judgement one iota

What i meant was even though he didn't do badly with us his subsequent failures in all his following jobs mean he is not a good manager, Tuchel is being hailed as the next Klopp/Pep on SC which is very debatable indeed

That's just what we need, an unproven next best somebody.

On poch, not sure about him being touted as a mgr who always gives youth a chance. Shaw and chambers are really good players, not much better in prem league, let alone southampton so they are def starters in that team.
Lallana is 25, rodriguez was bought for 6m.
Still a bit unproven for me, would like to see how they get on next yr, albeit too late for us
Yes shaw is outstanding talent, but he gave others the chance to shine.
Chambers - gave starts and opportunity when arguably clyne was easy first choice
Ward-Prowse - had previously only really been used from bench, poch decided to trust him with starts and gave opportunity to shine.
Gallagher - will have been pressure to not drop lambert with WC approaching, and possibly one of the hardest positions to break through in at a young age without loans etc, yet made 17 apps this year.
Granted southampton are gifted with good youth, but poch has shown he's willing to trust those good enough, something we can argue neither avb nor harry did in their tenure, and maybe sherwood only did to get a feather in his cap for the job?

I don't even know anymore. I wanted AVB so badly ... look how that turned out. So I just don't know.

Completely agree. I think all I can say right now is that I just want somebody who has a history of promoting exciting, attacking football. It would be nice if they had had some success too, but I guess that can be anywhere from getting a team 10 places higher up the table than where they should be, to winning a trophy.

The difference though is time.

This Club wants success now, this season, this month and the next game. At a Club like Southampton senior management would take PL survival over the chance of silverware or European football. It's expectations are lower than that of Spurs.I would guess that the likes of Carroll, Fredericks, Bentaleb and Pritchard (for example) would possible be in the Southampton squad this season.

Didn't Harry, AVB and Sherwood all say that a top four finish is what is expected? This subject would not even be on the agenda at Southampton's weekly management meeting.

Agreed. Also, as long as they play the players I want, in the formations I want, then I'm gonna support the new manager 100%!
