Maybe because other teams aren't offering him enough reasons to move? (money, the "project", regular football, challenging for honours)What is the point in Huddlestone deciding to stay?

He said that was along the right line
He did not say Coentrao was our target.
And if he is sober, that we can understand more than the occasional word of the financial & mathematical jargon he uses. You're assuming he's sober?

You're missing the point. What a player can do for the team, and what he can continue to do for this or another team defines his value to this team and any other team.
Talk of resale value is in any event redundant, because of Daniel Levy's hard-nosed attitude to sales, which is apparent to all, but conveniently ignored when describing his attitude to purchases. This "going for a quick profit" myth has been promulgated for well over a decade now, and is wearing rather thin. His predilection for younger talented players is aimed at a progressive improvement of the squad for a number of years, not the quick fix of marquee signings.
We have to deal in the art of the possible. We have in my view done this consistently in the last seven or eight years. Splashing big money on CL players might seem the nirvana we are all seeking, but unless we have a multi-billionaire owner who can ignore basic economics for his plaything, we will never be able to offer enough money to a potential top player to compensate for the lack of CL football. We have to do it the hard way. We are unlikely to get the Higuains or Rooneys because they are setting their sights higher than us. If we have more money available for new players, it will be because of the Sky money increase, not because Joe Lewis is loaning us money ("putting his hand in his pocket"), and we should all be grateful for that for the sake of the continued prosperity of the club. We have to spend our money wisely, on those players likely to turn into the Higuains, Rooneys, Messis and Bales of the next year or two, like we did with the players I mentioned. Yes, we can all point out the purchases which failed, though I'd suggest that some that you mentioned were part of the progress of the club at the time, and were replaced by better, and often younger players. Furthermore I'd suggest that a great many of the purchases you refer to are those of some years ago, and highlight the progress the club has made, by its progressive approach.
The downside though is for those who want it and want it now. That's not the way life works.

We assume it's Alex (Song) and Alexis (Sanchez), of Barca.
But they don't have a manager so I don't think anything with transfers and barca is true.
Just like a few days ago, barca said publicly that Fabregas wasn't for sale whilst announcing the Tito stuff. Yet the british press were using the fact someone having cancer to say the chances of Fabregas coming back are high despite it not being true in any sense.
But Levy runs a business, which measures its success by profit, ability to generate profit and value of the business. His gambles have tended to be low risk, rather than speculate to accumulate. At the end of the day the success of a football club is measured by it's trophy cabinet not it's balance sheet, for sure it's an important part but you can't get hung up on focussing on players that might make a long term profit and lose sight of players that can give you shorter term success
No he doesn't. He is intentionally vague.
