Was having a 'seige' mentality a cryptic relating to signing a Russian player or didn't the goat learn that 'i' comes before 'e' except after 'c' (cue the list of exceptions)?
Anyway, I thought that the goat was off surfing in California.

I thought the source was pretty clearly an existing player as the info refers to the past week of training.
If it was an existing player then why the asteriks, and also the bit in question says they r looking forward to working with him. Which implies that they haven't yet.

It's a hoax. A blatant one too. Look at the URL. This was posted last night in Spurs Chat much to the OP's embarrassment. And now to yours ;)

Luckily I've only got a 'semi' embarrassment on at the moment. I was careful enough to throw in a casual disclaimer. Phew!

How would an incoming player be able to reflect on the week just gone then?

Don't know much about him but the fact Wenger was desperate for him according to the media makes me pleased we have stolen him from Wenger

Supposedly v good player, one for the future

Oh come on fella, it ain't hard. The asterixs would have been there no matter what, no matter who. You're wrong and then wrong again, take my word for it. I've asked that we don't indulge too much in pointless guessing games so please, do me a favour and drop the bone.

Surprised Forest are letting him go now they're oil rich.

I've a vague memory of someone saying he was out of contract this summer, and that it was therefore a matter of agreeing compensation with Forest. On the other hand, I could easily be imagining this.

Oh FFS… No, it doesn't. Read it again.

Deleted my post. Posted it straight from reading the ITK. Didn't realise it had already been thrashed (ooh er) out.

To me I'd say fairly confidently it's Van der Vaart (with an outside possibility of Defoe or Giovani) whose name is starred.
Player we'd like to stay but are worried AVB doesn't rate / get on with.

I absolutely love this buying young stars with massive potential. This is definitely the way to combat City and Chavski. Buy them young play them and let them realise their potential and ambition.
