I think he meant did DL and not AVB want rid of Daws?Daws deffo didnt ask to leave thats for sure
Doubt we'd rid of Benny unless we sign a clear improvement. Rose fighting for a place with Benny is the best bet.
Granted, Benny wasn't at his best this season but that may be due to injury. I thought he was excellent the season before and I find it hard to see how we can upgrade on him at 6-7 million. I do not think Rose is better than BAE, and looking at his comments on Facebook (I think it was facebook) at the end of the season I doubt he has the mentality to play for a top team as well.
Though to be fair I guess you could say the same about BAE, but at least he has proven himself. If we are selling him I hope our replacement is of the same mould only without the defensive frailties Benny sometimes displayed.
Rose was moved back to left back for a reason
How much more credible can you get than his international teammate and colleague saying 'Bernard had in his head a move to Tottenham'?? Jesus...Disagree. We've already got 3 players in the Bernard mould (Bale, Lennon and Townsend), whereas we've been waiting five years to replace Berbatov. Half decent goalscoring #9s under £25m certainly aren't ten-a-penny.
There's been no credible ITK on Bernard at all. The Cobra one has been the only snippet to make read only.
On Leandro however there's been plenty positive noises from some of the most reputable ITKs like JJetset and Edmonton
Both AVB and DL agreed it was a good deal for usSo Ryan, was it DL who wanted to sell Daws last season?
Coentrao anyone?
RM bought him for 30million Euros - I cant see us going for him even for 15m euros - unless ofcourse Levy can get a loan deal done. But seriously, can't see him coming to us this summer.Coentrao anyone?
Ben Davies is one player I would go for - Had a great first season and showed immense maturiy for someone playing his first professional season ever. The only player that I believe we could land that is worth that 16m Euros (possibly a little more) mark is Alex Sandro.
But, I'd also be cool with Ben Davies or Lucas Digne. It sounds like Digne might be going to PSG, however.
Why on earth would a Munich player try and pursuade him to go to Dortmund?
I just think our name is being used here as part of another situation, like the Cavani and Kjaer episode.
He must be fairly dense, even by footballing standards, about the geography of Germany. It is nearly 375 miles between the remote Bavarian outpost and the Ruhr city. London is actually closer to Dortmund than Munich is. Most northern Italian towns are closer to Munich. So his plans to hand with his mate are going to cost him a fortune in petrol
