I have a feeling that Sneijder will join us on the last day of the transfer window. Inter Milan want him off their books. He doesnt want to move to anywhere else apart from the Premiership. No other team are in for him apart from us. I do hope that we can get him on a loan with a view to make it permanent in the summer. If anyone can make it happen, Levy can. at 28 years old, he is still world class.

yep - this is what I've been thinking to.

the stuff in bold, you couldn't possibly know. :) The loan idea, whilst lovely, flies in the face of what Inter want - Wes off the books for good (supposedly)...

Morning, SM, hope you've not made any crazy bets this window?

I agree that Inter want him off their books now, but he is the one controlling things at the moment. Inter can't make him go to Turkey or anywhere else. Im not saying that we will sign him or that we even are after him, but if it came to it that the club WS wants to go to only wants to take him on loan, for the rest of the season and also paying his wage, then I reckon Inter would go for it.

There would possibly be a clause to buy him in the summer included, and if not then at least he will have put himself in the shop window for a summer move elsewhere.

I hope we are at least considering getting him in. I joked to some friends last week that he is just a shit Rafa, but to be fair to him he is a very good player and his experience could be vital in helping us secure CL footy for next year.

The Goat has heard that although there's been interest in Alex Pritchard from Arse and Watford recently he's sticking with us for the time being.

Good news! Hope the time being is forever though.

Agree. Would like to see him in the development squad sooner rather than later and see what he can do there!

It's daring of him, as I would give him 6:1 odds of being left to rot in Inter.

Inter are desperate to get him off the wage bill, so I can see them pretty much giving him away come the final couple of days of the window. That may make Sneijder a more do-able deal for a few clubs.

A loan to somewhere like Watford would probably be a useful step in his development (after he's signed at least a 5 year contract with us though!)

We are not rolling around in money, but have enough to buy at least two more :). Can people please stop linking the Stadium and transfers? One is capital the other is revenue and even with in those accounts there are seperate lines of expenditure e.g. transfers and wages. If we can shift some deadwood the overall pot increases, because of any income and loss of wages and gives Levy some more wriggle room.

I feel MUCH better after reading that, Thank You (y).. This is now how I will picture you from now on...

Think Zola would be good for him actually. Not many managers in the Championship would give a player like Pritchard game time, but I've a feeling he might.

Why rate my post old when it wasn't even a statement, but a question

People get abused on here for not reading previous posts in the forum to answer their questions.

Maybe that's why........

Yep. Get him tied down and then any of Watford, Brighton, Middlesbrough, Peterborough on loan. Lots of Championship teams play good football these days. Even Millwall would be good for him, Jackett has done a good job with Townsend, Kane and Smith.

I wouldn't classify a neg as abuse, yozza. But the tolerance level here has reduced considerably this window.
