ITK like London buses eh?

Look forward to more internal 'what the hell are the players up to?' stuff.
Should sort out the shirkers from the workers, eh?

This is why i'm confident we'll improve this year. Add in actual proper training and tactics to our undoubted abilities and we should fly.

Good stuff on the RO, although as far as I'm concerned there's nothing that's going to cause meltdown at the moment. Almost sounds like Spurs fed stuff.

As for the other piece about investment, then who knows?

Thanks for posting it all though...(y)

Read the twitter thread for Sylvie's response to the rumours saying she's pushing Rafa away from London.........

Great stuff Berglad. Interesting news.

Reading between the lines I reckon we've got some big investment, but see no point in announcing it when it's only going to bump up the price of our targets.

Not so good news about Gomes. Unless he's seriously worked on his mentality I just don't think he's cut out for the pressure of the premiership. Not sure I could cope with seeing him pretend to be injured after throwing the ball into his own goal again.

VDV: "We've made lots of efforts to land Sylvie with some TV work over here since arriving, but without success. Feeling is that he doesn't want to go, but while she was initially ok with the traveling to and fro, she's not sure about now."

So Spurs tried get her a TV gig but no takers? But she is so hawt!
If we lose VdV to silly stuff like this i would be gutted!

Yeah, the Babestation contract came in but VDV wasn't keen...

Positive itk - yay.
Nice way to finish weekend and prepare for what may be a busy week (again :) ).

I should imagine avb will want as much of his squad together, for as long as possible before the season starts. That we he can ensure that they all understand his ideas etc.

Whether that'll prevent dl's past minute games is another thing!

I'll take a video camera over to her house and offer her a part in a film I'm making. Everyone's happy, she has a starring role in my film, VdV stays at Spurs and I get around 26 years of wank material watch Sylvie shoving massive anal beads into her marmite superhighway.

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm feeling pretty fanny good about how this pre-season is shaping up.

New manager: Good
New attacking midfielder who scores lots of goals: Good
New centre back and potential captain: Good
Lots of stuff going on behind the scenes: Hopefully good

And it's still early July!!!!

Prof at COYS posted an info dump from Galahad the Gnome (COYSequivalent of the Goat):

"A collection of recent snippets from the garden pond fisherman.

Nothing to trouble Benny Foz's beard, but some stuff that will be of interest to many of us.

AVB: "Lads being called in for double sessions. Training under HR was very old school but a lot of fun. Going to be very different from now on. We'll see what they think of that. Whether he succeeds is mainly a matter of whether our players can buy into his training and tactical ideas. We don't have the massive egos that CFC do which should help.""

and from POTL on COYS:

Boys due at 9.30 at the lodge tomo, week of double sessions ahead! Internationals wil return just prior to the tour where we fly on 21st.

First off Berglad you beautiful whoring bastard! Good work sir! (y)

If the players buy into AVBs ethos and tatical ideas then I think AVB could prove to be a very successful manager for us and I hope they don't throw the toys out of the pram with the double training sessions.

Stevenage when they were managed by Graham Westley are a great example of how players buying into a mangers ethos and philospy can bring great success to a club. I know we are a much different propostion than that of SFC and obviously the players/managers are different but I still feel its an interesting example of how it can be successful.

I know a couple of the ex players at Stevenage and some other people involved in the club and it was really interesting to see how the players brought into Westley's methods. The players basically did 9-5 training all the time, every day was a double training session and they would spend hours on opp prep and tactics. The players really brought into Westley's style of management and could probably at a push be described as a cult hence the reason quite a few have moved to PNE with him! The way the manager worked them and the way the players brought into this was a major catalyst for them rising from the conference to L1 playoffs in three years.

If our players give AVB a real chance and buy into what he is trying to do then I think our squad could be capable of some great things in years to come. COYS!

Could go 2 ways, the players could go for it and we would have the fittest most disciplined team in the premiership or it could backfire big time like it did when Ramos tried to impose rabbit food on our players and banned tomato sauce which helped turn the players against Ramos
