How great is it to be a Spurs fan right now?!? I'm absolutely made up with our business so far and Willian and Lamela (all being well) have just pushed it to another level, I'm really enjoying the thread, although the work i have got done today is none existent! I have just made a donation and when I get paid (end of week) I will make another. Can't thank the ITK's and Mods enough for all the info/speculation, even if it does not come to anything (unlikely!!) I don't know of another set of fans who will be enjoying the window as much as we are! Thanks again, let's hope to see Willian unveiled and a massive win on Sunday! I'm away for two weeks on Saturday to the middle of nowhere. Already told the missus we can't afford any excursions because I'm going to need that £1,000 to cover the data charges on my phone checking SC every 10 minutes (if there is a signal).

Hands up who's checking the OS first every time they come back to their computer after going to the toilet.

Theres 1 thing that worries me in all this.....the english quota of players.

Dont get me wrong there is no english players out there better than what we have signed but we have brought in 4 non british guys with another 3 ~(coentrao, lamela, willian) likely to come to make it 7

And we have got rid of Parker, Caulker, Livermore and Huddlestone who are british and Defoe, Bale and Townsend are being linked with moves away thats 7 out.

I agree with all the departures except Townsend but again getting rid of soo many english players is a huge risk.........the only ones who look safe are Dawson, Rose, Walker, Fryers, Lennon, Naughton, Carroll and Kane, surely for this reason we have to keep Defoe and Townsend.

YES english players are poor and us being linked with Lamela and Willian is what I want ahead of being linked with Downing and Andy Carroll, but can someone confirm the current rules regarding the amount of british homegrown players

YOU DO NOT NEED ANY HOMEGROWN PLAYERS. YOU CANNOT HAVE MORE THAN 17 OVER-21 NON-HOMEGROWN PLAYERS IN A SQUAD.

Wow... if were gonna be the talk I took that as keeping bale and possible contract? Reason behind this is we wouldnt be 'the talk' if we sold we would be tarred with selling club by some other clubs fans and thats not really talk. So IMO which I have said all summer is bale to stay. I also could see us signing coentrao which would make us the talk if bale didn't go the other way. Great stuff SC donating the £50 nect week when/if lamela signs and we hopefully realise bale stays. . COYS x

It isn't an "English quota" it is a home grown quota, Sig is classed as one of these! you could be English, born in England but moved away and didn't come through the youth system in England, come to pay here and be classed as not a home grown player.
