Can someone please put my mind at ease that Willian can score a few, his record isn't the best is there any reason for this? His dribbling and skills are undeniable will he get into double figures? Or is he creator only?
He appears to be more creative but Bale wasn't a prolific goalscorer until recently so who knows. I think in the right system and with the right mix of players he could score plenty of goals for us.

He can score but his primary skill is to create, which is what we have been lacking most. Soldado, Chadli, Bale, Sig and hopefully Lamela will score more goals with Willian in the team. He will chip in with the odd goal but one shouldn't get disappointed if end of the season he only has 10 goals max to his name as he could quiet well have near twice that in assists.

I have and its things like "on course" that gets my goat (sorry Oh bearded one), it is already the best window FFS

I get what you're saying but like I said we all express ourselves differently.

I genuinely feel that every Spurs supporter (not just on here) over the last few years have questioned our transfer policy and the last minute dot com shit we've had to put up with. We've turned a corner and maybe just maybe for some the penny is taking that bit longer to drop or the wounds of past windows are just taking that longer to heal (y)

Especially with Bobby Soldado cleaning up for us.

Really hoping he will be able to play against Swansea!!!

I'd love to see him come straight into the squad as Swansea can be a toughie, but there's a part of me hoping he can make a dream debut on the Nomads' doorstep. I'd Kevin Keegan love it!

If carlsberg did transfer windows...

...i doubt it would come close to the THFC 2013 summer transfer window because lets face it, Carlsberg is a pretty pissy lager and this window has been mental for us.

I want Bale to stay, partly for his footballing heroics but mainly to piss everyone off who had said he's off. (a lot of people).

If he goes the indication is that the replacements in mind will more than plug the hole.

Happy days. Fucking happy days.

good news about ITV4 tomorrow too. :)

ME. Checked my account this morning the £500 bet is still going. Said bet pending but I'm almost positive its paddy power fucking up and rubbing my nose in it.
You sure it wasn't his next permament club? perhaps ask them on chat to clarify, they're normally very good with this stuff.

It was 'minesadouble' who said 2 medicals in 24 hours. Is he ITK? I asked yesterday but no-one answered.

For anyone interested, thanks to autocorrect, the above sentence initially said 'it was minesadouble who said 2 Mexicans in 24 hours'. Luckily I checked before I posted otherwise it could've started a 'Ooooh, one of them must be Hernandez' flurry.

Oh, and my guess is that Willian will be announced at 1330.

very much more an AVB team now than the old Redknapp one. Good Job AVB, Levy and Baldini. Would Luv it if Bale remained though, LUV IT!

I was concerned too about the amount of changes how it would effect team spirit, but then you look at the class we have bought and about to and thye should be able to pick up AVB's way of playing quickly. He has bought them to play his system and those that nhave gone or about to go don't fit that way of playing. Sit back and enjoy the ride
Thanks for the reply mate. I'll definitely try and chill out although as you probably know as a Spurs fan since the 90s, it doesn't come easy!

It appears some of my post disappeared, but I just wanted to convey my gratitude for all you have done and shared over this window. Thanks dude.

In regards to the number of changes we're making I think it is good we get them done now and grow stronger as the season goes on. I really do think the season is not so much about how you start but how you finish. As long as we do enough early on to keep up with the top pack and finish strong I'm confident we'll make the Champions League.

The most important thing however is that the signings are the right players to fit into AVB's system. They are not just random top class players but well thought out. Soldado is the perfect type of striker for our style of play. He will replace Defoe in the first team. Willian will replace Dempsey as the number 10 (although really he is a proper replacement for VDV). Paulinho and Capoue will replace the limited Huddlestone and Parker. While Chadli will give us the extra competition we need on the wings.

Last summer I didn't feel that AVB got all the right players for his system so he wasn't able to go with his preferred formation. He didn't have enough players to fit and it appears now we're getting those right players. It may take time to gel but great players will not take long to do so.

It's like we've been taken over and gone absolutely nuts!

I don't think we'll top this window for activity in a long while mind you and you know the same people will be crawling out to have a pop at Levy for not spending in January time!

It's a bit mad, maybe Levy won the Euromillions last week.

Kids and SC members all love getting new toys, now they're getting some they're happy, but come January they'll want more for sure.

If Bale were to end up staying, surely our aggression in the transfer market, which has demonstrated huge ambition, would soften the blow for him - if he doesn't get the move this summer.

I mean the thought of Willian, Soldado and Bale ahead of three out of the four beasts we have is frigging insane. Mouth watering stuff.

Totally agree this is the best transfer window ever. The only thing that is slightly annoying is that all this uncertainty over Bale's future has distracted from the amazing business we have done so far.

The one thing that's certain is that if he does go - it won't be like Berba or Modric. We have a plan in place and we could potentially be left with a much stronger squad overall.

Worried everyone's gonna start calling me a glory grabber supporting Spurs lol - being a Tottenham fan from Birmingham!!

Exciting times.
