I'm sorry but selling both Modric and VdV in one window is a recipe for disaster, no matter who comes in. They were our two most influential players (along with Bale) last season. Ripping those two key players out of the team in one foul swoop and expecting their replacements to integrate seamlessly and immediately is irresponsible. I really really hope we hang on to VdV this season.

I have a vision of JJ in a dark room bent over a computer typing yes, no, maybe to every question he is asked on twitter never leaving. He never shaves, cuts his nails, and shits in a bucket placed under his chair. His wife comes in to sponge him down and change the bucket, all the time he is typing spurs related itk on twitter as the days merge into one. If only they would stop asking questions he could return to living his life.

Chapter 1 of "50 Shades of JJ"?

Check out honigstein's article on hamburg in the guardian today: they are a train wreck. Can't see vdv going there

Well I have a vision of him sitting in a darkened room with weird laughter emanating from him and reverberating around the echoey space - and the question I ask myself upon seeing him is if it is the ever changing complexties of the transfer market that has driven him into a quivering wreck or whether he is cackilng away to himself knowing that he is driving many others into a manic, depressive state.

Yeah its very high risk, I agree - and really do hope VDV is not sold.

But a part of me wants to believe in AVB (regarding all things) and what he thinks is best to build the side he envisages will bring success. I just hope VDV is included in that for at least another year, but there is a hell of a lot of smoke about.

Wasn't there ITK a little while ago saying "VDV puts his family first"? Implying that was the reason he was available?

Maybe I imagined it but if that is the reason, we just have to get the best out of the situation really, although it would be sad to see him leave :(

I'm willing to bet vdv will still be with us when the transfer window closes. Unless we sign Moutinho.

Shame he have gone cold. Seems Juve have given up to, wouldnt suprise me if he end up at Arsenal or Liverpool. Still have a little hope Levy will get him in close to transfer deadline as he wants out, but guess thats more a dream than anything.

I do so want this to be true, for us that is, but my fear is that the Goons will nab him....

If I'm honest I'd rather a player coming in as VdV's replacement who last ninety minutes and retains the shape for the full match.

If we somehow offload Jenas or Huddlestone to Fulham as a makeweight for a Dembele deal... I just... I love... I want to make babies... I love... And I'm done.
