Hi Mate.
I know you've said Sandro and Kaboul are in light training but I also see they're in the Asia Trophy squad. Is this for them to get minutes? I assume this is the case as not even our medical staff would be stupid enough to send them to Asia without them planning to play.
McCarthy is a decent player but would be a weird signing when you consider we have Holtby and Carroll who should be floating around those central areas.
Yeah their due to both play both well ahead of schedule. . Sandro is nearly there and kaboul is nearly there once there is no swelling with the knee.
Haha the old medical team. kaboul was out for a season because the medical team risked him. I have zero faith,in fact get me some dettol and plasters I shall have a crack at the job myself.
just to keep on track with the thread. Khumalo has officially requested to leave. (Not that he needed to to be fair)

What do you mean possibly throw holtby in the mix? Where else will he play he is a Cm and so is siggy in a 433 his natural position is cam and in a 433 he would be the most advanced one like at Swansea at timesMcCarthy would be a shrewd buy if we can manage to offload Scotty, Ploddermore and Ploddlestone.
Paulinho/Sandro/Dembele/McCarthy/Carroll gives good options for a midfield 3. Possibly throw Holtby into that mix as well.
Sounds to me Dembele is the big worry and with Sandro coming off a big injury, Paulinho and McCarthy may both be deemed necessary.
McCarthy is pure class - the team that picks him up will not regret it.
If it's us who sign him, we should be delighted as he would be a great signing for us. He can do the Box to box job, and equally is comfortable playing in either a holding role or playing as an advanced midfielder. One of his greatest assets at the moment (IMO) is his maturity, for a player only 22 years of age (23 in November), he is a fantastic leader on the pitch.
Looking at it from Levy's point of view, if he is a successful signing we could easily sell on for £15million+, and if it doesn't work out, we can still sell for around £8-10million.
Would be great to have an Irish player back at the club too - I'm not going to deny that!!!
