Townsend on loan. Personally prefer him to stay and provide us with some depth of pace on the wing, but since he's not really being used anyway, maybe some regular PL football on loan will do for him what it did for Walker. I personally rate the lad. He has pace, can move with the ball well, just needs to sharpen up his end product and decision making, but hopefully that will come with regular games.
Didn't we have some ITK suggesting Callejon (RW/RF) was waiting in the background on loan from RM should he be needed??

not entirely sure how to take this comment mate, but I'll assume you hate me.

Work is far from sparse, I'm me own boss so I can do what I like. (constantly) writing on here hones my writing skills. It's why I never shut up. But you can always put me on ignore if it gets too much!

Wouldn't dream of doing that, no one winds me up that much on here that I'd need to put them on ignore. :pompous: :playful:

if bale or lennon gets injured or both we will go narrow in the middle and try and play through there, AVB knows his shit, have faith

That is what we often do but we ought at least have the option to use width and pace on the wings. I personally don't it when we have Dempsey/Sig covering RM or LM and it never seems too effective either. That may just be my perception however.

It's also good to see Townsend going to QPR to replace a player who a lot of us wanted back in the Summer (Hoilett). Shows how risky the transfer world can be.

Gambling with multi millions .......and millions kicking your butt when you get Bentleyed'

Just spoken to an agent who told me holtby would probably play tonight. I assumed he would play Parker and Dembele, he told me "Parker could be on his way to another London club"... Spurs have an open ended deal which they are happy with, just depends on if they can find a replacement that makes it worthwhile. He thinks its unlikely to happen, but with lots of irons in fires its a possibility.
An agent who looks after a lot of our youth team and a couple of first team players. We were with a spurs member of coaching staff too, who nodded along.

Reading between the lines, if we sign a decent CM / CDM for an acceptable price then he will move, if not we are more than happy to keep him.

Could it mean... no I daren't ... but could it?

You know have someone lined up like, a new signing in Willian on Son flavour perhaps, oh dammit.

I was gonna write almost the exact same post... ;)
You don't just reduce the squad and wage bill for nothing... It MUST be because moutinho and willian are about to arrive!! Yay!!!

But seriously, it probably is to do with incomings which is good. But i'm defo refusing to get hyped until about 10pm tomorrow..

latest ITK is bizarre if you ask me! If Townsend was leaving to a club he'd be guaranteed to play for, I could understand the move, but he's not!

But as well as that, we'll be left short IMO. Siggy and Dempsey can't fill in and provide balance for Bale and Lennon as effectively as Townsend would.

Hope it doesn't happen.

Townsend going on loan is a win win for me, he gets games (some goals) gets tons of experiance and comes back to us a better player, if he wants to stay with QPR then we will get a tidy fee for him!!

this parker news rings true to me: if the price is right he might go - is that not true of 99% of players?

I love him, he adds something we don't have much of elsewhere; he's genuinely stressing his body to get the ball all the time. But he could go, as could any of our players - for money.

hope not tho.

:ROFLMAO:

Why do you think Harry wants Andros? SWP is junk.
So you think Harry will drop SWP and play Townsend? I don't rate SWP but can't see AT getting many games ahead of him and will probably be an impact player for QPR. Either way if he goes i wish him luck and i hope he comes back with some experience under his belt that might help us next season.

I would be happy to see Townsend get some more game time as he looked decent in games earlier in the season.
Also makes me wonder if we are looking to offload Thudd, whats happened to Tom Carroll, would rather we gave him more game time instead as it could do him good for the future.

Going to go on call in the hospital tomorrow night so I can avoid the sitting around pressing f5 only to be disappointed evening, good luck to the rest of you :)

Just cant see it. In the summer maybe when Sandro is back but its a huge risk to replace him at the moment and for who ever we get in to hit the ground running.

Unless the player is a huge improvement on Parker i think that will wate till the summer

Well I can see why levy would sell, his value isn't gonna get any higher. I would rather keep him till end of season tho.

If Townsend goes on loan and gets regular football then it could be beneficial, but can we 'trust' Harry knowing what he is like and that he is trying to do deals for everyone? It's not beyond him to bring in someone just for the sake of it... remember Pletikosa? They already have a few wide options and it wouldn't surprise me if when the dust settles tomorrow we find out something like he's brought in Andros plus a couple of other wingers!

Real danger that they are just desperate to bulk up the squad, rather than actually being keen on him and wanting him to come in as first choice.

It would not surprise me if DL wanted to sell him while his stock was high, though I can't see him wanting to risk not qualifying for the CL, which we're less likely to do without Parker
