El Dildo has some cheek, looking that sum for the Spanish Rich Lambert.

Jog on son.
Still, you've got to think Everton's interest might be real. Selling Fellaini or someone? I mean, just about the worst effing club Sevilla could choose to bluff us with. Hahahahahaaaaaaaa. Yeah, Everton are going to pony up €20m otherwise. Sure thing.

RE: Moutinho. I do remember reading something about his 3rd party owners the other day, but I'm sure it also said something Sporting or Benfica, forgotten which, are owed 25% of his next sale and for Porto to actually get 22m for themselves out of any sale, they HAD to buy the remaining ownership.

Was no talk of a move this window in the article though, or Spurs for that matter

So that's the Telegraph, Times, Mail and Star who have all reported on us going back in for Damiao.

I do just have a feeling that it's on.

Like Donkey Kong.

After Spurger's comment, it made wonder, could Levy have bought some of those pieces of the player from the other parties? If a chairman could do that, he could really gain leverage in a negotiation I would think.

Maybe he could have bought the minority shares - but he then has to sit tight until Porto sell, so he's locked away money in an asset which he cannot use rather than using it to buy a player.

Unless you are cash rich (and with the new stadium, training ground ec) IMO we are not, its not an interesting investment

Just my opinion of Levy's thought process of course

After Tevez and Mascherano, I think it's against EPL rules for English clubs to be involved in part-owned players.

That's a good point. But what about this. Say Levy was interested in a player I'll call Brazilinho and this kid is owned 60% by FC Happy. 3 other investors have 15%, 15% and 10%. Could he use a proxy he trusted to buy those bits and bobs and then force the issue?

This is just a hypothetical, but it intrigues me and seems like a way we could get around all these deals that get squashed by the complexities of Football Finance in South America.

Right, we've had a goodly amount of ITK this evening, including direct from the horses mouths, thanks Ryan and JJ. Tomorrow is going to be emotional either way. Night all and looking forward to it.

The rules may have changed but about 6 or 10 years ago I found that ENIC owned a part share in a promising young striker. Striker never came good so nothing came of it.

However I think the prem rules say you cannot part own a player and use him in games.

Probably nothing to stop Spurs (or ENIC) buying parts of Brazillian players - but its dead money until those players are sold or we buy out the other minorities so he can play fior Spurs. Its just another possible way to invest money.

Do we need Moutinho now we have Dembele and Holtby? I struggle to see where he'd fit
IMO, I would sooner offer 22mil for somebody like Lewandowski who we need, than Moutinho, Could also sell Hudd,JJ,DB, and buy one off Clasie, or Maher to give more options in M/F.

Tottenham ready to pay £20m for striker Damião
Window watch
Tottenham Hotspur lodged a £20 million bid last night for Leandro Damião, the top scorer at the London Olympic Games, that will test the resolve of Internacional and could strengthen their challenge for a Champions League place.
The Brazilian club said that the striker would not be leaving this month, but they need to raise money to make up for the loss in ticket sales after departing the Copa Libertadores and to help to pay for rebuilding their stadium for the World Cup finals next year.
Tottenham, who want back-up for Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor, have been chasing Damião for two years. His ownership is split between Internacional and a third-party company.
Tottenham and Everton also made a last-ditch attempt to sign Álvaro Negredo, with Seville in financial problems. The Spanish club sent officials to London this month to sell Negredo, but their £17 million asking price was deemed too high. He has scored nine times in 19 league games this season.
Tottenham have also monitored Bafetimbi Gomis, who has scored 12 league goals for Lyons this season, and have told Fulham that they want close to £10 million for Tom Huddlestone, the midfielder.o

I can only think we must be charging by the lb.....i'll get my coat

No way to force the issue. Each investor can decide to sell at whatever price he wants, when he wants - unless there is some kind of shareholder agreement specifying something different (eg 'tag along' - the minority must folloow the majority shareholoder decision)

I doubt Porto would go to the trouble of buying back Moutinhos rights, just so they can sell him to us. I think they want to keep him, or cash in for a big price. By that I mean willian prices. Moutinho will go to PSG or Russia IMO.
