With regards to Siggy going and Eriksen coming, I wouldn't mind.

I was a staunch defender of Siggy all last season but I can't help feeling he's let his 'supporters' down in terms of justifying his place in the side.

There's no denying his talent but he can't seem to find a specific role in our team and just looks lost at times when he's out on the pitch.

If we can get £10 million roughly I'd take it.

Still think we need another striker in too...

We're a knock to Soldado away from being back to arguing about the limitations of Defoe/Ade

It really is incredible to think we're adding 3 fantastic players to the team that battered Swansea on Sunday with a very encouraging performance. So excited for Eriksen & Lamela though, they'd definitely bring Soldado to life. I get the feeling Bobby is going to be lethal this year for us.

Who would've thought 2 months ago that so many people on here would be ok with the news that Bale is likely to leave?

Confirmation today that he's likely to be off and yet it's still a good day to be a Spurs fan.

What a transfer window!!

LB would be a good position to wait to fill until January. We don't have to sign EVERYONE we need this window (plus we need to save some excitement for next window ;) ) . There aren't any names atm other than Pereira (haven't heard much of anything about it) and Coentrao (rumored he doesn't want to come/would be too expensive) i can think of that are good options at this point in time, plus we're having trouble shifting BAE. Rose deserves 6 months to prove himself. It'll be his position to lose if he's not up to snuff come January.

Just picture Redknapp, Sky remote in hand, SSN on the box:

'Never heard of him, nope, nope, fackin who? Jamie! Who are these players all going to Spurs?'
'Dunno, Dad. Mercenaries?'
'You can't sell Bale. They've had it.'

Meanwhile in a glassy 'boardroom'/ TV studio, Sugar rages at his TV...

'Carlos Kickaballs would turn in his grave what happened to the club I built spending like loonies...'

Serenely gliding through football heaven, Bill Nicholson breaks off from training and casts a fond eye down on proceedings:

'To be the best, you need to sign the best, train the hardest and not let some jumped up little Welsh fella get above his station. He can go. The others can concentrate on the glory. Nice man that Andre, he'll go far.'

Etc etcetera

This is better than the Willian day i missed innit!?

Just one question for the learned members of SC how long can one have an erection before they should consider heading to whips cross?

Priapism is a life threatening condition. Get thee to the hospital for a wee scalpel on the dick!

Well, we'd be looking at someone 'big' who is no longer guaranteed the game time he might like and would be willing to pop over to WHL for World Cup year in order to get the required playing time. Probably a striker or playmaking silky skilled horn provoking midfield maestro.
I would love for this to be Ozil. It would make sense too - If RM play Bale-Isco-Ronaldo behind the striker and Khedira-Alonso behind them, Ozil is no longer first XI. And with several good attacking midfield options for Germany too, he can't afford not to be playing. I think Ozil is a cracking player and would love him to come to us - loan, with buy option?

I was thinking that, you don't really get big defender moves this late in the window

there are very few defenders around who might move which would constitute "big" news- possibly some of the
defenders from the bundesliga- but many of them play CL and would not move

what does SF do then?

Lloris - Friedal
Walker - Naughton
Dawson - Kaboul
Vertonghen - chriches
Coentrao - Rose
Sandro - Capoue
Paulinho - Holtby
Dembele - Erikson
Lennon - Townsend
Soldado - Defoe
Lamela - Chadli

I know this isn't the place for squad speculation but this is based on itk.. AVB has stated he wants 2 for each position. The above seems realistic and bloody strong.
Leaves Ade and Siggy as rotations in / out/ or upgrades...

Only opinion but that squad is ridiculous. Genuinely. The B team would finish top 6.

Is there enough goals though..??

Wish I could give you 20 winners, 30 likes, and a big Spurs cry.
