Come on man - You're better than making a comment like that about him. Siggy hasn't worked out for us as of yet but let's not paint it like he's some absolute donkey. He clearly has the skillset to become a very good player somewhere. Even if he stays he can still do a job for us.

Part of it was to see how many negs I could get... :sneaky:

I don't mind us being utterly ruthless though. He isn't good enough for us in my opinion, so ship him out.

Gutted that Gylfi could be on his way out. Good player, had a awful first few months I'll admit, but ever since the West Ham away game he's been one of our better players. He's the type of player who will change the game or go missing, reminding me of a certain Dutchman we once had.

What is interesting is that our spending is going to come out at roughly 1 Bale (at current market values).
Do you think there was ever any chance he was going to stay?
Are you upset with the team we have signed to replace him?

It's the efficiency and contingency that I most admire about this window.
If we've failed on a target there has then been one or more other options in which we've managed to conclude with relative ease.
Getting a big signing early doors as we did with Paulinho was crucial in setting the tone and getting things rolling.

All involved deserve huge credit.

Agreed. The ability to go out and execute a plan from the start of the window through now has been very impressive. This could have been a very very big cockup of a window, but instead it turned into a near orgy.

Always thought Siggy deserved a run but he's had three starts this year and been a bit frustrating in all of them.

I also think Mr Chadli may find himself behind Lamela, Andros and Aaron if his early form is any indication, not his fault but he may have been bought when our expectations were different

I wouldn't worry about it, this place probably has thousands of people looking through it and the probability of one fat finger hitting a neg rep by accident is vastly higher at this time of year.

Calling people out for it really isn't worth spamming the thread for.

But you fat fingered folks should really watch where you stick those chubby digits (y)

I think we can all see now why Baldini was appointed!

Levy knew we had money to spend, and wanted it spent wisely.

Thank god Harry ain't here to spend the £90m on "triffic" players.

We've got our usual £20m - £40m to go yet if needs be and that's before anymore sales we might to do. Our spending isn't done. Expect possibly another defender after Churches and another attacker, even if Eriksen signs, most likely a striker of some kind.

Not everyone can be a starter on a CL team. Need quality depth, Chadli provides that. It's always tough when you become a high level team, as that means you have very good players sitting the bench. Good problem to have, though.

Why get so agitated. The wtf icon is right were my thumb goes when I am scrolling down the page on my phone. It's just fat fingers.

The proof of the pudding(s) will be in the eating - will be down to AVB now to turn them into a team.

I think he will do it - BUT IT WILL TAKE TIME (yes I was shouting) Lets hope people give him that time.

Thought Chadli played well, our most creative player and a good decent work rate, would put him above Lennon myself.

As I wrote in the player thread, I'm glad that he's going - but purely because I want this team that we're buying to be with our money and not some billionaire's handout. I want our success (and we will be successful) to be 'organic' and not financed by somebody else's cash, Chelski and Citeh style.

I'll miss Bale, but we'll be stronger for his departure - and it's the club that matters, not any self-regarding superstars such as Bale seems to have become.
