From previous postings on here hasn't it always been mooted that Siggy would be moved off the books not because of his level of playing ability but more due to his association with J Barnett. Thus severing our final link with him.

Think that was a bit of a conspiracy theory wasn't it, don't think there was any itk on it? Could be wrong though

I'm confused, if Gylfi leaves isn't it because he doesn't fit the team anymore but at the same time AVB wants to keep him as he likes him. Doesn't add up

Number one, Modric came on in a big way for Real over the last half of the season once they played him in his proper position. Number two Xabi Alonso is out for two to three months, there's no way they'd give Modric up and have no deep-lying passer.

Agreed.
If anyone is to be guessed and let's face it, A&C LOVES a good guessing game, then I would assume it would be a player "like" Willian, seeing as that was who we were after and that is what caused the delay, supposedly.

Given the whole WC year reference, I would say Kaka was the likely candidate.

AVB 2012, When he was appointed Spurs Manager

It's not a mission of restoring my reputation, It's a mission to put Tottenham back on track with titles

He's certainly fulfilled the first bit, and the Club seem to be doing their best to help him achieve the second bit :)

No, he said reluctantly as he likes Sigs, i am sure that AVB won't let sentimentality get in the way of silverware, it does show a nice human side to him though..

Surely that itk info earlier about us getting a Madrid player on loan and sticking it to Chelsea means that Ratboy is coming back to WHL next season. I can't see any other reason for the remark, as no other player of there's has any connection to Chelsea ?
Not sure how I'd feel about the little Cnut coming back mind...

I wondered if it was Kaka as they referred to us getting a better player and he's ahead of Willian in the Brazil squad.

Really disappointed with people slating Siggy. He's done nothing but give it his all. He hasn't been lazy, hasn't been a dick and has never made me say "I really don't like that guy." He's gone through a shit ton of bad luck on the pitch (shots off the posts galore, filthy saves from keepers) but he's always gone at the game the right way.

You may not like him as a player but you should respect the fact that he's a Tottenham player that epitomizes what is right with the game (working hard, always coming back for more even when times are tough, etc.) instead of what's wrong with the game (Suarez, Rooney and Bale).

If he goes on loan or is sold I hope he shows his ability. He's got a shit ton of it and I know I will follow his career closely whether that happens at Tottenham or at another club.

Kaka at spurs hehe how far we've come when we can hear that said and not feel it's the next stupid joke at our expense. First reaction was to think do we need him. Says a lot.
Not the Rivaldo style joke now!

Agree with all of that. He must have hit the post more than any other player last season.

Makes sense now, cheers ears. I'd happily have Kaka in the squad tbh, if only for having his Mrs sitting in the stands game days

This guy comes from the same school as van der Vaart and Sneijder. Bergkamp raves about him and certainly knows his onions when it comes to creative attackers. If AVB is also believer then I'm happy to take a punt on the kid.

Edit: This is meant to be about Eriksen, forgot to quote the person who was doubtful about him.
