Lamela next?

Although Spurs like to make a big fuss over new players and get maximum PR.

Won't be favourable to announce 2/3 new players in the space of few hours.

Disagree. Why have a loan player taking the first team spot of say Erikson, Dembele or Holtby? I would like to see our new signings/own players developing in the side than a 'big name' past his prime.

Expensive player to have on the bench.

Kaka is a completely different level of player to Eriksen and Holtby, and certainly wouldn't be on the bench - he'd be our best player. Yes we need to have a balance and make sure we're developing players for the future, but equally we need to build for the present (in fact moreso this season than ever before, because we are in a uniquely strengthened position compared to the sides around us, many of whom are either in transition or have new managers), and Kaka is an excellent footballer.

There is a misconception that he's no longer a good player - he is. He's underachieved at Madrid, and didn't live up to the hype surrounding him, but he's still one of the best technical footballers in the world, and would without doubt be a star for us. I think he's exactly what we need, a bit of craft among the brute force and pace we have in the side now. It's easy to assume that someone who can't get a game for the best sides in the world is therefore not good enough for a team who aspire to be at that level - but look at what a star Van Der Vaart was for us. Kaka is a step up even from Van Der Vaart. He would be a superstar if he came to us. It's honestly baffling to me that anyone would turn down the opportunity for us to sign Kaka.

Also just to make it absolutely clear, the site wouldn't exist without all the generous donations that people have made. I'm very happy for, and would even encourage, them to post in here that they've donated and receive a bit of positive rep for it.

If anyone takes issue with that then remember without those people you'd have none of this.

Can I ask if donations are anonymous in terms of real legal names. Not worried about my username showing up but am a bit precious about my actual name and job stuff being easily found out.

I'm obviously Donna Cullen, obviously.
