Telegraph:

"Adebayor wants to stay at White Hart Lane and Tottenham hope Pochettino can have a galvanising effect on record signing Erik Lamela.

Tottenham are willing to cash in on Roberto Soldado, who has struggled to reproduce his best form at White Hart Lane. Although the full potential cost of the deal to sign the Spaniard from Valencia was set at £26m, Spurs paid only about half of that figure up front and would only need to recoup £13m to avoid making a loss.

Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku was recommended as a priority signing by Sherwood, but Tottenham also have other attacking targets. A deal for Jay Rodriguez to follow Pochettino from Southampton has been discussed and Spurs have made an enquiry over Loïc Rémy.

A clause in his Queens Park Rangers contract means Remy is available for £8million and Tottenham are willing to match that fee. The Frenchman, however, ideally wants to join a club in the Champions League and is hoping Arsenal firm up their interest.

Other than refreshing the club’s forward line, Tottenham want to sign a midfielder and a defender who can both make an immediate impact on the first team.

Michael Dawson is likely to be allowed to leave White Hart Lane and QPR manager Harry Redknapp is ready to make a move to sign the central defender from his former club."

Surely Valencia didn't agree to more than half of the fee being based on performance. If we sell at 13 million, wouldn't we still be liable to pay the rest to Valencia in the installments agreed last summer?

The only concern I have now is the fans. We need to give this guy time and support in good times and bad, let's stick by our man(y)
