My friend told me last night that the money that Joe Lewis has given the club took a little longer than expected but the papers have all been filled
The 50 million pounds is available interest free for ten years Dine and Dusted It is now up to DL to spend it
Has anyone asked of the possibility of this 50m pounds being added to our transfer funds to negotiate/finalize any deals with possible Bale money before he is sold? If he were to be sold, purchasing players before it is announced would be the proper move, as you would avoid the headache of being a club with fresh money. Then, once/if he were sold, Lewis would almost instantly get his money back.

Bloody hell i cant believe the amount of people that dont rate Di Maria.

Everytime ive seen him play he was quite simply brilliant.

Ive always rated him. Obviously he aint no gareth bale but just because he could be the player that comes in people are very dismissive.

I would gladly take Di Maria off madrid without a shadow of doubt. Superb player. Ugly but superb.

Coentreo + Di maria + £55m.

weve had a lovely day Jim but were not going to risk it for a Speedboat. Were gonna take the money and let the other couple have a go.

:D

You mean we've been bullied? ;)

When JJ commented about LLM, first thing I thought was that LLM was defiant Bale would not be sold so im confused by JJs post to say the least, hope you're right!
JJ does like to play games ect but he didnt give it his usual ;) so he might be serious. But we are just guessing its Bale!!

I think this is a good analogy of the Bale situation:

You live in a house worth £1m. You enjoy living there and have no intention of moving. It is not up for sale.

If someone knocks on your door and offers you £1m, you would reject it.

If someone knocks on your door and offers you £3m, you would accept it, no matter how much you love the house.

Some offers are too good to turn down. Whilst I really think we should keep Bale no matter what the offer, if the rumoured £51m + Coentrao + Di Maria is true, Levy may view that as one of these offers.

Looking at that M*dr*d squad gives me chills. There are one or two players that would definitely make us better that might want out... No CL doesn't bloody help tho.

Bale; I'll mow your lawn and clear the guttering every Saturday morning for the rest of my life if you stick around. Do ten years in the lillywhite and then go. (y)

seems liverpool aren't letting suarez go, Rogers says Luis is happy and accepts the clubs point of view. Might we not look small time if Levy gives in to a bigger clubs demands while a rival holds on to their prized asset?

though i suppose Arsenal aren't really bigger than Liverpool

If Real came knocking with a big offer no chance they could keep Suarez.

if he's gonna go, its gotta be quick. We cant afford to lose points in the first 3 games yet again while we run around europe with a wheelbarrow with £100m written in flashing lights

I really don't want Di Maria :banghead:

I can't tell you how disappointed I'll be if he was included in this.

Hard enough to stomach losing Bale, but then with a player you're not even remotely enthused about.

Sorry just no. Please not Di Maria - for the love of God.

If he wasn't such a terrible diver I'd love him.

That's a very good point about the £50m loan.

Could be a very short term loan - we borrow £50m from Lewis to buy our replacements before we get the Bale money.

We then get the rumoured £50m plus Coentrao plus Di Maria. This £50m goes directly to Lewis. This would also explain why it's "interest free". You can't charge interest on installments of a transfer fee!

Everytime ive seen him ive been pretty impressed, I think he is a very good player, pacey, quick and can smash them in from distance Bale style + can still improve, he's only 25. I think he would be a great signing along with Coentrao. What dont you like about Di Maraa? Ive not seen a massaive amount so I'm only judging by what I have seen.
