Well by the sounds of it we will have £110 to spend plus he addition of Pailinhio.

That's a fair bit of cash. More than Arse could dream of and besides we have some great players already at the club.

Done right we could really be a force this year

Trouble is, £110 doesn't go as far as you think.:)

Some people on here need a reality check!

When your dealing in the market for the calibre of player we are after and take into account we don't have limitless amounts of money like City do you really think its straight forward?!

It's going to be difficult to improve on what we have and that's what we must do. Other wise what's the point?

I'm sure we could sign say someone like Liam Ridgwell from West Brom and it will be pretty straight forward but what's the point?!

I'm sure we will have centre halves lined up as a replacement for Caulker.

Chill out people!

I personally hope we spend the Bale money on the stadium IF he goes.

I still can't see it happening this year. We hold all the Aces.

I really dont get it...shouldnt we be trying to sell midfielders as priority instead of caulker...its a shame i thought the kid had a big future ahead of him

Oh yeah you're right

Dear Cardiff

We would love to sell you Steven but now isn't a good time we need to sell some midfielders first. Come back in a couple of weeks time and it should be alright.

Thanks Daniel x

Caulker all official now is a big surprise to me, however i still think Vlad is coming in. Rumours on some sites are that is agent believes its still going to happen, so fingers crossed.

Also, from watching our friendlies in Asia, AVB seems to like a young Mr Fryers..goes with the whole small squad and versaitily. He played both left back and centre back in those games. Perhaps there is more faith in him being our future there? He didn't play half bad and looks like decent cover at the least.

I think the crux of the Bale issue is what is he going to be replaced with. There seems to be a divide here. There are some, like me, who want Perez to do whatever it takes to convince Coentrao and Di Maria to move to us in the event of a Bale sale, on top of a large wedge of cash (which we'll use to try to buy another player). There are others who just want straight cash, and have named targets like Lamela, Draxler, and Bernard.

The problem with the latter approach is that there is no guarantee that Madrid will pay us the entire cash sum up front; it could come in multiple installments, which is problematic if we're looking to invest immediately. Secondly, Lamela and Draxler would be exceptionally difficult to land this late in the window. Roma and Schalke are similar clubs to us and have CL ambitions of their own. They'd want much more than what is being bandied about here (at least 40 million up front, probably more), and the deals will be contingent on Lamela wanting to move (he very well may just want to stay at Roma for another season, shine in the World Cup, then get his may to Barca/Bayer/PSG). There is also the question of how Roma views dealing with Baldini after he left so abruptly. Their supporters would be furious if they were to sell him this late in the window, and to us, of all people. With the way Levy negotiates, these deals will take time and very well may not come off. I'm not willing to take that risk and potentially doom this club to another 5th place finish, and the likes of Lloris and Vertonghen leaving next summer.

Wouldn't you take a guarantee of Di Maria and Coentrao over the extremely complicated possibility of signing Lamela and others? I have a feeling that this will be what happens. Di Maria may be upset with the initial link, but he will be on the bench for that team in a World Cup year. With us, he would potentially thrive. Same thing goes for Coentrao. I'd much rather take Di Maria and Coentrao, while trying to negotiate for a third player, then having no one and trying to get the likes Roma and Schalke to sell at obscene prices.

Don't forget the tax man will want a big cut too.

Not sure if we're the only ones but we sure do make a habit of it.

ITK suggests he hasn't settled in well (and after watching him in four U21 games last season that's an understatement I'd say, he was pretty woeful in every game) and taking him to Asia was a 'carrot' rather than 'stick' approach at trying to get him to knuckle down. That and we have a shortage of fit centre backs and hardly any in the reserves to call upon.

If Fryers has to play any time soon then something has gone badly wrong.

And people are asking JJetset why he's decided to stop providing ITK?
I'm not bashing! Merely pointing out that's he isn't the oracle in regards to his itk! And perhaps if people didn't take all his words to heart over a little snippet of info, people wouldn't have to trawl through 70pages a day guessing who the player was he was alluding too! Wind your neck in! We're all entitled to opinion!
