What would you prefer one player on wages of £100,000 a week or three players on £35,000 a week? I think I know what Levy would prefer. I'd guess that Pochettino might have a different opinion.

It's not really that simple though, is it. We've already seen with Ade and Soldado that it's not easy to move on high earners if they're not doing well enough. It's no surprise on the other hand that we can move on lower earners like Sigurdsson, Livermore and Caulker for nearly £25mill combined. We've not had much ITK or rumours to suggest we are after high earners because of this problem, in my opinion.

And "net-spend" totally ignore wages. Which are well over a mil a week I'd imagine. The term "net-spend" should be banned around here, or at the very least, a "net-spend negative rating" introduced.

The number is probably closer to -£35m as the actual fee for Soldado was not £26m but £13m according to ITK's

Good start I thought as much. This is truly showing the ambition of levy. Yes I know we have a training ground and the new stadium to think about, but if you don't show a level of ambition the existing good players will do one sooner rather than later. There is no way we should be the lowest in net spend - no way ! Get your bloody wallet out

Extremely worried about our attacking options if I'm honest.

Townsend and Lennon don't contribute, Kane is promising but not someone to rely on, Adebayor plays 1 in 4 and the jury is still out with Lamela and Soldado.

If Eriksen isn't having a good game we have no creativity apart from Lamela and he's still getting used to his surroundings.

I can't see Bentaleb, Dembele, Capoue or the new guy creating much either.

Very concerned if we don't bring an attacker or 2 in
