We are 3 or 4 years behind City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Utd now

Everton have had an amazing window

Realistically we wont see CL again for another 5 years

More like probably never!!! Not that I'm too bothered, would rather win a few cups.

The reason to be positive, is we're moving forwards,

Maybe, but at a snails pace, while other teams are already sprinting further away or running past us, in reality we're starting to go backwards!!

the thing im annoyed about is that on the last day of the window we seem to totally destroy the squad depth without replacing with higher quality? one step forward two back all the time. I was all for holtby and sandro leaving (sandro is my favourite player), as long as the money is good (seems not to be the case) and we actually replace them with one 1st team starter?! but no....

there's like three posters on here just winding people up and fanning the flames of dissent. Absolutely ridiculous, we didn't need an upheaval this window, we needed to strengthen key areas which we did. Jesus fucking christ.
We improved our LB depth and CB depth. We did not improve in CM or attack. In fact, so far we have gotten worse in attack. Siggy provided a goal threat and we got rid but did not replace. Holtby was a backup #10. Got rid and did not replace. Lennon and Townsend who provide absolutely nothing are still here.

Hugo said in an interview he was excited by our plans which means he was promised big and ambitious signings
Jesus Christ. You know fuck all about what we promised him. All you do is speculate, and you present your conclusions like they're facts.

I would agree but we were ruthlessly torn apart yesterday, was 3 should have been 10

This is the type of team we need to be beating to be in CL again, we are light years behind them and it showed

So we need massive investment not kids

I think more importantly we need tactical shift.

Our midfield was too slow, and too ineffective at maintaining forward possession to pin them back. So we allowed them to not only come at us, but just easily coast around a slowish midfield propped up by Kaboul having a mare.

Kaboul has been replaced, and this Stambouli kid seems to be considerably quicker while still adept in the tackle. You don't need the big names, just to be smart.

Now if we could just get in a pacey while effective wide left attacker, we'd be set. A striker if Soldado goes would also be nice.

We have lamela, and eriksen who can play the 10 role, and paulinho can play there too. Gutted to lose siggurdson and holtby, but we have too many players in the same position.

I went to the shops today and bought some milk, bread, coffee and wine all of things I identified I needed and I got the best of these products I could with my pre identified budget. I did not buy a Ferrari or a toaster as they weren't needed, it would be nice nut not tally necessary and not within my budget. Just saying...
I went to the shops and bought some sticky sticky......glue! Sorry, thought I'd add to the childish theme.

I actually agree with this - but don't you need the toaster for the bread? Just saying....

After James and Falcao, it looks like Moutinho wants out of Monaco.

Good night.

Racing post juorno said Mouts struggled with the physicality of ligue 1 last year, fucked over here then
