Same here. Trying to remain calm but have that same old sinking feeling.. I hope there's some consolation.

There's not mate.

BS in...and Sandro and Holtby out. That seems to be our business today.

Hard to take.

If I had thought for one minute that we were selling Sandro, precarious injury state or not, and then not get MS in...I would of been up the walls.

I suspect we are done for the day on ins now.

Re welbeck. England are training at arsenal aren't they. Are we sure that the reporters aren't just putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5?

I'm glad my expectations are very low this year, it's just not worth the disappointment. I seriously doubt Southampton will do any business with us, we are fucked most probably.

So we are looking at having lost Holtby and Sigurdsson and will have potentially brought in no attacking players to replace them? There's absolutely no way you can consider that a successful window, especially when we were short on firepower to begin with. What happens if Lamela or Eriksen get hurt? Where will the creativity come from?
People keep trying to compare Pochettino to Rodgers in his first season of Liverpool, but you have to remember that Rodgers has been allowed a net spend of 90 million pounds in his time there. Pochettino isn't going to get the benefit of virtually any net spend, so his task in monumentally more difficult in a league where the top teams are now swimming in cash. We also have a chairman who clearly expects us to be top 4 contenders, which is difficult with constant upheaval and limited net spending in today's market.

It's half six. Save your negativity for tomorrow once we know the final situation - otherwise you are massively mugging yourself off.

Not happy sandros going, get rid of dembele and bentalebs both offer nothing at least sandros not afraid to put his foot in and go for a midfield of sandro and schneiderlin

Looks like nothing is going to happen. If/when Lamela or Eriksen gets injured (Spurs type of luck), I guess we're rolling out Lennon/Townsend and Paulinho and Chadli as our front three behind striker. Wow.

Deflating day, no?

That's if Lennon and Townsend are both here by end of today!!

Welcome home Jermaine Defoe

Or is Saha still available

Worst window for years so far

Really?

You do realise how many players we have right? And how many we signed last year? And that our squad is bloated?

Some of you are mental!!

Classic Spurs window unfortunately. Poch may learn that saying you don't rate your options and don't mind them leaving does not imply you will be able to get a replacement in.

And on top of all this we're selling Sandro for a pittance.

Think we need to get over that a bit. 6m for a player who hasn't played more than 10 or so games in a year isn't really a bad price.

We have four central midfielders who are all more likely to be consistent members of the squad so, sad as it is, I'm not sure it's a terrible thing.

Disappointing on the lack of incomings today though.

As back ups in a squad I dont think we will get much better. Not like we can have world class players sitting on our bench.

I guess the sooner we realise we aren't anywhere near the top table in terms of signing players the sooner the disappointment fades. We've signed some decent players, but none of whom would probably make the top 2/3 teams currently.

"Arsenal are interested in signing Danny Welbeck from Manchester United. It is not clear if this would be permanent or loan. No deal has been agreed and no medical has taken place."

So, Welbeck having a medical at Arse - gotta assume we have another iron in the fire (clutching at ITK here!) - that is not a reference to Calton Cole!
Also sounds like we had an interest in Bony earlier in the week but pulled out of that - maybe go back in for him???

Someone posted this tweet at the norwegian Spurs forum:
"Gards
@Gards44
Not even going to name the name mentioned to me! It's getting silly season! Would be an amazing loan move for us!! We are owed this one!"

Someone speculated and got the impression that it was Isco who might be mentioned here. Apparently there`ve been speculations on this earlier this summer, but I havn`t read a shit about this. What do you say? Complete bullshit?
