There are no "Modric type players". The guy was class. He is good enough to go to Real Madrid.
You cannot replace him with a like for like player, because there are only about 5 of them in the world.

It would be a smart move it Levy had JM all but sorted but delayed the processing of the paperwork until late in the window to ensure fans were appeased by his signing rather than having time to adjust to that and focusing on the fact we didn't sign a second striker other than Dempsey and only really have one striker fit to play the lead role our system requires (who could get injured, go through baron spells, need rest or indeed by at the ACN)
