It's the only way you can get the extension I believe... you don't get the extension to continue negotiating... negotiations need to be over and the extension is granted to allow the formal papers to be completed and submitted.

Window closed at 5pm iirc. Redknapp was outside the lodge at like 6:30 saying we'd probably got him.

We got absolute confirmation the next day, yeah, but it was baseless rumour for the two hours-ish until Redknapp appeared is what I meant.

'The deal sheet was introduced two years ago. Clubs sometimes conclude deals at the last minute and it is not always easy for them to get everything completed and sent over by 11pm. The deal sheet allows a club to confirm that a deal has been reached in order to allow for additional time to submit the remaining documentation.
The sheet cannot be used prior to 9pm and needs to arrive fully completed before the transfer window closes. Once the sheet arrives, clubs have got until 1am in which to submit the full paperwork. But if a club are looking to complete an international transfer, it still has to comply with the FIFA Transfer Matching System (TMS) deadline of midnight'.

I just turned on Fifa to get away from all this shit, then realised I was playing with Ledley, Luka and Rafa which tugged at my heartstrings good and proper, turn back over and Levy is allegedly going to perform a biblical resurrection and get the Mouts deal done.

Fuck this. I think I preferred it when we were shit.

I went through and did our transfers on FIFA and it dropped us to 4.5 stars (although Dembele and Siggy are criminally underrated). But Moutinho would have to push us back up to five! COYS!!
