Seems like POTL and Roger Morgan keep their crowns this window. The others info has been decidedly dodgy.

I just don't get the positivity. Decent signings but most were inferior replacements for what we had.

Anyway, bedtime. Norwich to beat tomorrow. COYS.

POTL has been well off the pace this window mate. Morgan's been first with a couple of things though so credit to him for that. Never really gave him much previously.

wish people would stop moaning about still having jenas and bentley...... You do realise that for them to go, someone must want to buy them???? this was most likely the problem here. You can;t blame anyone at spurs for that.............

I don't think we have had a terrible window but when you give a £0 net spend to your new manager to improve your squad it hardly gives out the right vibes to 1) the players 2) the fans 3) the manager that you are looking to challenge for the league ( which avb claimed was our target when he took over)

It's all very well to say we gonna give you £55m to spend, but doesn't mean much when you sell £55m worth of talent at the same time.

I do think we have to reasses our expectation for the season, I really do think moutinio was the missing link in the team and will make the difference between champs and Europa league.

Whilst i like you and everyone else loved Rafa and what he gave and in the past Luka too, surely it remains to be seen? How can we judge? and not withstanding as has been pointed out Dempsey for example scored 17, yes 17 goals last season, whilst MD was arguebly the driving force the driving force behind Fulham. Add to that Siggy and his goals and Frances number 1 and the Ajax captain, well.....i appreciate the loss of both Modric and RVV but lets see what happens.... or no?

We've got some brilliant players in and improved in key areas, but it's all a bit 'four steps forward, five steps back' when we have no genuine creativity. I'm genuinely expecting a poor season now. We have a team without any ideas men.

Unless we get some groundbreaking info about our transferdealings tomorrow I'm not going to renew my membership in the Pro-Levy group.

I have a very strong feeling that people will be eating some humble pie in the upcoming weeks.

We're still a very good team.

Dembele is the signing of the window.

What's his passing game like? I haven't seen much of him, but I know the boy is strong and can dribble.

The first team may appear to be slightly weaker but in Dembele and Dempsey we have two players who will track back as much as they will go on the attack, and whilst I'll miss both Luka and Rafa that was something that was very much lacking in their overall game although they certainly tried to a point, we have a new defender who most teams would have taken in a heartbeat and one of the top 4 goal keepers in world football and is still to hit his prime years and if Ade performs in the way we know he can then we have a cracking player on our hands.

Fair enough we are clearly short of another striker and potentially a world class playmaker but lets see how AVB sets the new squad up before slashing our wrists, why bash the ITK, we all know things can change so quickly as we've witnessed today.

I want Moutinho because he is AVB's choice

Who have we signed so far that has been avb's choice?

Ryan, does it occur to you that sometimes a managers wish list may not be compatible with reality. In those circumstances I'm sure what happens is other options get discussed and chosen within doable parameters. I doubt Levy has made many major (i.e. immediate first team intended) signings without at least saying we can't get our first choice option but these are are other options, what do you want to do ?

As we have seen, managers have been backed. Redknapp spent at least 80-100m in the first three/four windows on players of his choosing. Most of them turned out to have shelf lives of 12-18 months. That impacted the subsequent windows. We are still shedding his, and other managers/DOF's mistakes.

I'm pretty sure none of our signings would have been made without some form of consultation. Maybe you should question the grasp of reality that some of our managers have. Bullshit like "Tevez was getable" is a typical example.
