Fuck me - seriously... this thread has gone to the dogs last week or so. Between people thinking they have something funny to say, people seemingly not reading through it and asking the same question over and over, people complaining about spam (yes, I get the irony), repeated twitter references, and a general trend of posting totally unncecessary shit it is nigh on impossible to keep up with it all.

You are not the funniest person in the world, and the post you think is funny? well it just isnt. I get the more relaxed approach to the modding this window, but it is beyond ridiculous now.

Really? So everybody has reported early for camp. Even the people who were at the Euros and are typically given a longer absence following their clubs exit? Seems like we are treating the players fairly poorly.

Maybe he meant every player that's reported back at training so far, has met with our new manager. How am I meant to know? Sometimes I'm in two minds posting bits of info on here because everything is dissected and examined. Then you have people on other sites saying my info is garbage!

Fair points. But this is what happens when people are waiting for 'something' to happen. They have to 'stay' in case Godot comes, even though experience tells them he won't, in spite of all the promises and indications to the contrary. So it's to do with hope. To combat the boredom and the existential pain people joke, play, fall out and abuse each other. What else did you expect? And what are your solutions?

Perhaps he's read or heard that we're spending around £10 million on a player who plays directly in his position before we've even announced who the new manager is. Doesn't bode well for him, and I'm not surprised he's looking around.

I disagree with this, there are some truly funny people on this board and their posts in this thread (although sometimes off topic) make trawling pages and pages somewhat more enjoyable. I mean even A and C himself often posts jokes and stuff throughout the thread.

If people want a mundane account of all itk posted, read the RO, it ends up in there eventually.

After a couple of days as excited as everybody on here, I have come to the conclusion that What will be will be !! ... and no matter how much F5 bashing I do, it won't make things happen any quicker. I'm sure the the board know what they are doing and we WILL have a manager in place and we WILL get a few signings. Best things come to those who wait, right?

There are some funny people, but a lot who just aren't. If we could stop the non-funnies from making jokes this thread would be a lot less unwieldy.

As for all the ITK ending up in the RO, don't be silly. There's plenty of interesting stuff that never makes it over there for one reason or another.

I'm looking forward to new announcements in the next few weeks, and I'm hopeful that Levy and co will make the right decisions. However for me there's always a Frazier Campbell-shaped shadow looming over our transfer window activity. In recent years we've fucked up more transfer windows than we've got right. Leaving ourselves with a weaker squad in January for no real reason being the most recent example.
