Don't take this the wrong way, but it really could be anything that is announced within the next 7 months. Players in, players out, sporting directors, stadiums, shirt sponsors, new kit designs or the new amazing catering contract - I hear Chick King might get a franchise.

Yep, the plan is to construct 3 sides of the new stadium adjacent to WHL, then move into it (bigger capacity than WHL at present). Then knock down WHL and complete the fourth side of new stadium.

Before this gets out of hand, we're not going to go down the same road as we did the last transfer window where eventually the snidey remarks etc got out of hand. Well, you can do, but I can assure you, you'll lose your access. So, if you don't like the info or the way it has been given, if you think the person giving it is a twat or whatever, you'll be better off keeping it to yourself.

Right now it isn't that much, but if it goes unchecked it soon will be and as I mentioned above, you'll lose your access then send PM's moaning about it. I say this so many times during the TW and here it is again. If you haven't checked out the how we roll/rules threads, that's you problem. We will be assuming you have done so.

Anything over 10 million for LD would be a disappointment for me... Seeing what players been picked up for around the same/less and shone in the league this year (Although, I would still expect it to be nearer 15 if it happens).

We are talking about a player who plays in a league which is far below the standard of ours, whose stock was highest after a decent Olympics and has since been very inconsistent since.

Also those saying 'I trust AVB'; we were after LD long before he became manager, don't know why some are fooling themselves into believing he's cherry picked him.

That being said, he clearly has talent but doesn't seem to even remotely justify coming near to/breaking our transfer record for.

It would be wrong to say I would be disappointed in buying him... But I feel this would be more down to the relief of actually signing a young, new striker as opposed to admiration/expectation for LD.

I'd personally prefer to see other players targeted but I'm neither the chairman or manager so

Yes were tracking him but I think from the ITK we had when AVB first joined, it was made clear his 3 main targets were Moutinho, Leandro and Willian.

Tbh, I'm surprised he's remained a long term target. It doesn't fit with Levy's perceived shrewd nature. A largely unproved, expensive striker... I don't get what his relentless obsession is.

I would fathom that LD wouldn't be AVB's first choice striker (even when taking into consideration our financial constraints) due to him not being that suited to a 4-3-3.

However, AVB is probably thinking hang on a minute, if I pass up on LD, who the fuck am I going to be given instead... So will probably play along

While we're farting around, it's worth correcting this, even if it is for the millionth time. If it saves just one person spamming this thread up during the window, it'll be worth it.

Lloris was indeed NOT coming. We enquired. It broke down. Only at the last minute did Lyon come back to us, offering Lloris after all and so we moved quickly to make it happen. If you had asked a well-placed source throughout the majority of last summer they would have absolutely said he wasn't coming. And been right to do so. Lloris was NOT coming to us all along as some would have it.
