Yeah, cos that's how we all do things isn't it!?!

Maybe not everyone....but successful people tend to take note when they are being told they are doing something wrong.

I may not be terribly successful but when i had a VP tell me that "you should work on my interpersonal skills" my first thought was "why should i listen to that fucking bellend?" and continued on my way....

When the 8th person told me "you should work on your interpersonal skills"....i tried to take note and work on my interpersonal skills because while most of them were fucking bellends not all of them were fucking bellends.

I would hope a professional footballer who wants to get better would take note when numerous people are telling him he needs to work on aspects of his job because while the majority of the people saying it may be twats....not all of them will be and they will be offering advice for him to get better.

It doesn't make sense to move Rose on yet, we need cover and his value can be increased quite a bit with good coaching

That's what I interpreted it as too.

In regards to our playiing squad then we would probably need two CBs if this happened.

In regards to Daws, well what can we say- he hasn't got the ability now to play in this system challenging at the top of the table. But he will continue to be a very good defender somewhere. Absolute gent, a great face for Tottenham and can only thank him for his years of determination, character and body on the line defending for Tottenham. He showed pride in playing in our colours, and for that I can only thank him for his great service and wish him tremendous luck in the future. A modern footballer without the modern attitude. Cheers Cap.

Can we give Daws a testimonial for 9 years and six months? I think it has to be 10, doesn't it.

Thanks, rebrab. Not sure enough people got the significance, but appreciate the news.

And good luck to Daws wherever he goes. Wonder if the Toronto game was enough for him to see where he is (2nd half) and where we need him to be (1st half).

I'm trying to be positive about the coming season, I really am, but the current ITK and transfer activity leaves me completely underwhelmed.

Poch better be the messiah we are hoping for because it looks like we're basically going to start the season with Davies instead of Rose and Schneirderlein instead of Sandro. Hardly striking fear into any of our rivals.

Can see us scratching around in Jan again unsuccessfully for a striker when Ade goes to the ACN.

Better pray hard that Ade and Eriksen stay injury free or it's going to be a long season imo.

Dawson going is good on SO many levels. Yeah, I know loyal player yada yada but:

1. He's going
2. Excitingly, with very little CB ITK, someone is coming in!
3. Verts and Chiriches will 99% stay
4. Dawson won't get the chance to wheedle his way back in like he did with AVB.
5. We are upgrading the squad.

Thanks for the memories, Mike, and good luck to ya.

I think we bought alot in last summer and i think we will wait till january if we need more. I think 2 more in and 3 or 4 out :)

We bought no more than we sold or allowed to leave

Hudd, Dempsey, Parker, Caulker, Bale, King retiring, Gallas contract expired, Bentley released

all save Bentley had been good to great players for us with lots of PL and team experience

Allowing that JD was also off in Jan we are still thin striker wise, cb wise, playmaker wise and never really addressed full back or lw needs, we have quite an abundance of mids but still are not a strong balanced team, it's still patchy

We don't need two CBs - we need only one if Dawson goes. But the one we get has to be to the level of Jan (on his happy days) or higher. It's quality we need not more bodies.

If Dawson goes we're left with Vertonghen, Kaboul and Chiriches. Another two just seems OTT. One more is sufficient - but let's make him an absolutely quality purchase.

If an injury crisis occours then let's use our youth players!!!!!

It also allows him to go while he can still perform - for a team who sit back more. Extends his career at the top level, which none of us will begrudge, and means he is worth a big-ish transfer fee.

I think when Eriksen, Lamela and maybe even people like Chadli, Holtby and Soldado get into top form, teams will be scared.

without sounding ITK anymore, I dont think Hull retracted their offer and he is being encouraged to take it by Spurs

Seemed to be what Bruce was suggesting the other day. Said something along the lines of 'its at a stalemate but it's out of our hands' - i read into that that Bruce is well aware we're trying to bring someone else in before we're certain we can let Dawson leave.
