i really hope this is the reason between our clubs refusing to do transfer business with each other :ROFLMAO:

All this time we thought the reason Modric didn't go to Chelsea was Levy's hatred for Chelsea and ratboy spouting off to the media.

Turns out Abramovic didn't wear a tie. :pompous:

As mentioned earlier, nothing groundbreaking but something for punters to mull over and maybe get cocky over towards Chelsea fans.

So my ex missus had a housemate who I knew well who regularly waitresses for the spurs boardroom. She was there for several years and grew accustomed to her being there and openly talked about all sorts of things in front of her and, often, to her. Apparently chairmen of different clubs actually meet regularly to discuss various things, which I guess makes sense.

However, Abramovich has a LIFETIME ban from the Spurs boardroom because he refused to obey one of Daniel Levy's strict but simple rules: that EVERYONE must wear a tie. It's just a a lovely bit of info as our little bald guy has basically stuck his middle finger up and told an insanely powerful Russian [likely] criminal to do one. Bit of a David and Goliath story I guess.

Also, a massive reason for Redknapp and Levy & his boardroom falling out was that whenever Spurs lost, Redknapp would talk to the media and then storm off home. He would outright refuse to talk to the board and often his own team regarding the defeat.

Waitresses have to wear a tie? That's mad......

£16m for Schneiderlin is insane. Hurry the fuck up burst already, football bubble. We'll be looking at something around £10m for Rose I assume if we do Dover look to offload him. Mental times.

You sure it didn't have fuck all to do with Abramovic's faxed offer to Arnesen for which Levy had him over for tapping up or the nicking of Willian after he'd had a medical ?

Sorry guys, I should have said that I was told this about a year and a half ago and believe it happened only a few years into Abramovich's dictatorship

Is this a cryptic?

Vlad does have a price and we would sell! MS would come but one needs to go! Talks ongoing! #coys

Don't get why we'd sell Vlad. I thought he looked decent when called upon last season. Had a few moments of madness but also showed moments of brilliance too. Unless he's struggling to settle over here or with Pochettino. Would've thought Poch would work well with him.

I have never heard any reports about Griezmann comment on poor consistency nor have I watched enough Sociedad enough to form my own opinion about it but it is possible to score goals and play crap (Dempsey and Siggy have done it).

Also, if you look at when he scored his goals in the season, he scored 12 and assisted 2 in a 12 game patch and then only scored 4 assisted 1 in 19 games afterwards (4 games no goals or assists before). The season before, he scored half of his goals (5/10) and almost half his assists (2/5) in an 8 game patch, so maybe he isn't as consistent as we think.

Of course, and it;s also possible that he played well in games and contributed to good teams performances without clocking up goals or assists.

I've only seen him play a handful of whole games, but I've liked what I saw just about every time. He's not top of the game but he's a lively, clever little attacker with good movement who gets into good positions and creates stuff for others. Look how much better France looked with him in the side instead of Remy. He's played well enough in more than 30% of the games I've seen.

Gards saying Vlad could be off for the right price.

BUT WHY?

Really don't understand this. To me Vlad has all the hallmarks of a player that could thrive under Poch.

So we're gonna be left with:

1. Verts (probably on a CL or i'm off promise)
2. Kaboul (a twisted knee away from retirement)

and what? Vejlkovic? Fryers? Johnny Nobody?

I'm all for rejuvenating the centre back corps but fucked if I know what the plan is here.

And he's saying Dawson will also go.

Barmy to sell Vlad IMO. I reckon we'll sign one younger CB and one more experienced, quality CB. Well, I bloody hope we do otherwise we're fucked.

He also says we're in talks for Schneiderlin but that's nothing groundbreaking...
