Mind you, if I was a player i'd be very excited to join a project like Spurs under the guidance of Andre Villas-Boas.

We've proved that you don't need Champions League football to be a big lure.

I think that having European football is the draw that is really needed for the profile of the players that we've been signing. AVB FB and DL would have sold is as a proving ground competition.
We can use it to get the players ready for the CL whilst improving our coefficient (and avoiding pot 4 and maybe pot 3) at the same time

This is all very good news if it happens (im warey after the last ITK 'we're signing everyone' day) Im am however worried that we are slightly fooked if Soldado gets injured. Are we not signing too many wing forwards and could do with another forward?

Not if the Midfield can pop in 40 or so goals a season between them!! :)

You would think that after the FFP rules truly come in, that transfer fees in general and wages are going to freeze or even come down.

So this group of players could (hopefully) be with us for some time to grow as a team.

If FFP actually have any bearing on real life activity (dubious), then we can be seen to be stocking now to be competitive in the top 4 for the forseeable future.

That's what I'm saying to!!!

Its beautiful the way its all panning out as well. The exposure we've had because of the Bale saga has been insane. The whole footballing world has had us rammed down their throats all summer. All eyes on us etc...and off the back of all that we are now smashing the market left, right and centre - signing ridiculous quality.

If you were a player and watching all this unfold and then we came knocking - you're going to be bloody intrigued at the very least!!! A very appealing and exciting proposition I'd say.

In fact, instead of thinking here's a Club selling their best player - you're thinking the opposite, in terms of quality signed and the endless amount of ambition shown.

I think Griezmann's situation is a bit like Isco's last season. Tons of people wanted him but the value of keeping your biggest threat in attack for CL is more important than making a quick buck on them. And, like Isco I'd imagine Griezmann wants to be part of Sociedad's CL run. Unfortunately for us, I could see him taking off in a similar way that Isco did and we will be saying "ah, what if?"

Posted this earlier so sorry for spamming, but as i posted the goat bleated and this got lost behind several pages- thinks it's of interest though;

''If indeed it is Rodrigo, then Levy is is the only man who has completely understood the FFP rules. Other than Soldado it can be argued that all signings made and potential ones (Chiriches, erikesn) will be on long contracts because of their age, meaning the outlay per year over the course of the contract will not be particularly high. Also in 4 years time when they are coming to the end of a contract and we may want to sell, the likelihood because of their age and prospective talent is that their values would not have dipped and probably (fingers crossed) increased; due to amortistaion and book value we are potentially putting ourselves in a position to be operating at a huge profit in the future under FFP while spending loads on new talent.

Oh I do like this ITK at the moment :)''

Now don't get me wrong I'm very 'excited' by this window but IF you truly find it a sexual turn-on, its time to go talk to your GP. ;)

You are worryingly not alone on here - very weird.

Must be an age thing

Cant we have a "get a room" icon

FFP is irrelevant when you consider our outlay may not even exceed our incomings. £80-£100m Bale (give or take depending on deal) what we have sold already, what we may sell, releasing Gallas and Bentley (£5.2m in wages a season I would guess) thats what makes the window so fantastic. Its all done within the realms of our financial constraints.
